Surf Cottage - Luxury beach getaway

Everything was as described. We enjoyed our stay and will book again!

Loved the cottage and location. As shared with owners, would have preferred better directions to find it nestled within the confines of another village of cottages. Would have also preferred to not have to bring our own sheets/linen to stay - possibly the first time we've ever had to do this for a weekend rental. Overall, very happy & would enjoy coming back.

Our stay was brillliant. Thank you so much. What a collection of books! Whoever knew that Ian McEwan had written a short story about the beach? Our only difficulty was upon arrival. We looked at the display of Units shown on the Reception window and found ours missing, which was a little confusing. We'd probably be told in the correspondence where the Unit was situated on the property, but our first instinct was to use the Reception noice-board. Anyway, we found it and would love to return.

Another fabulous stay at Surf Cottage. An annual event now and doesn’t disappoint. A walk to the beach and great host.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at Surf Cottage – Luxury Beach Getaway and had a wonderful stay overall.The location is perfect — only a 5-minute walk to the main beach. We spent most of our time enjoying the beach and really loved coming back to a cottage that truly feels like a home away from home.A big plus was having two boogie boards and wetsuits available (girls size 16 and adult XL), which made our beach time even better. The cottage is very well equipped — if you forget to bring something, chances are it’s already there. The kitchen, in particular, feels just like home. (Though bringing your own coffee machine is recommended if you’re a coffee lover.)The only downside was the BBQ. This was our second stay (the first was about a year ago), and unfortunately both times we weren’t able to use it. The BBQ was quite dirty, likely left that way by previous guests, and the gas tank was empty. When you’re on holiday, the last thing you want is to spend time cleaning a messy BBQ.Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. It’s a great place for a relaxed beach getaway, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Communication with Stewart was excellent, easy check in process, being able to check in early was a bonus.Location was excellent, 5 min walk to the beach and not far from the Ocean Grove Shopping Centre.We had our Son and family for lunch and having a well equipped kitchen was extremely helpful

Can’t say anything bad about this place, just lovely

It’s a cut above a caravan park, in an easy to access, small group of cabins. It feels like a well-appointed apartment and is close to the main beach. A great stay

This is the fourth time we have stayed for a quick few days away at the beach. An easy walk to the beach. We will be back again!

Loved the property. A very short walk to an amazing swimming/surfing beach. And also a 10 minute or less walk to groceries and liquor shops and restaurants. Wished I could have stayed longer. The kitchen was nicely stalked with everything you would need. I would highly recommend “Surf Cottage” to anyone booking in Ocean Grove.

Great little place , very clean and tidy , quiet location with everything you need on hand , hosts made sure we arrived ok and had settled in, highly recommended.

Family and I really enjoyed our stay at this delightful cottage. Easy location to walk to the beach and easy bus access.

We had a lovely weekend stay. It had everything we needed in a beautiful location. The beach is a short walk and the town is just up the hill. Would recommend.

Clean, compact and partially private. They thought of everything you could want or need. This stay was the first of many where I did not have to pop out for anything I’d forgotten because Stewart and Faye thought of everything! The location was close to shops, restaurants and most importantly, the beaches. And after a long day out, it was divine to soak in that amazing deep bath. Well done Stewart and Faye! Highly recommend it!

So close you can hear the ocean. A cosy comfortable log cabin in a treed and well tended native garden. Well priced and excellent location 10 mins walk from shops and 2 mins walk from beach. The cabin is in a village of other log cabins but with plenty of privacy being well spaced out and with mature gardens. Good communication with owners.
