Superior Sanctuary on Lake Superior. Just 6 mi from Lutsen Mountain ski resort!

Our stay was perfect. Easy access thru the garage where we could park our car. Super clean and comfortable. Great location close to Lutsen and all the state parks and hiking. Definitely will plan to return. Brenda and Natalie

This gorgeous property was perfect for our family trip to the North Shore. The kitchen was well-appointed for family meals, the home is spacious with stunning views, there are many upgrades (heated floor, etc.) and the hosts were lovely. We would 10/10 stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Also, holy moly it was impeccably clean! Even little hidden corners where there’s natural dust build up were spotless! We were a little bummed the “hot tub” listed in the listing is actually a jacuzzi bath tub and not a hot tub to sit in with friends. Our plans to hot tub after skiing didn’t happen, but we made the most of it! We sat around the fire and enjoyed every bit of our stay. Thank you so much!

Great cabin, amazing view, close to a lot of wonderful hikes.

Stayed in early August. The townhouse was lovely! Very comfortable, well-appointed and clean. Full kitchen was great and plenty of space for meals and hanging out. Even though it's near Hwy 61 you hear very little road noise, especially in the master bedroom. We slept with the sliding door open and all we could hear were the waves and the wind in the poplars (or maybe they're aspens?). Having easy access to a beautiful rock beach was one of our key draws, and the beach did not disappoint! We swam every day - water in early August was mid 60's - perfect Lake Superior swimming temp! Location was great for us - close to Lutsen, Superior Hiking Trail, Bike Trail, several mountain biking trails, and an easy drive to Grand Marais. The attached garage was a nice bonus to safely store bikes and other toys. And the Washer/Dryer in the unit was great. Responsive and communicative host.

Wonderful stay! Perfect alternative to the resorts nearby. Close proximity to our favorite hiking trails and restaurants along the north shore.

Great location, very nicely decorated, all the amenities you'd need. We loved the layout of the home, two balcony/decks to enjoy the lake. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Superior Sanctuary was spectacular. The place provided everything we needed...a great location, a beautiful view, clean and lovely rooms, lots of provisions like spices & kitchen & laundry supplies, great appliances & attractive fireplace to mention a few, and very comfortable chairs and beds. We loved everything about it.

My sister and I came up to hike. This location worked great for that and for visiting Grand Marais. The place is very well stocked with everything we needed, was in good shape and had a great view of the lake!

Beautiful property, spacious interior, cozy and comfortable. The interior was immaculate. Everything seemed to work except possibly a lamp that might have had a burned-out bulb. Bedroom layout upstairs is nice and private. Loved the deck off the master suite. The full kitchen is big enough and well-stocked with appliances and utensils to cook a gourmet meal for 6-8 people. The garage was a huge plus! I imagine that is a huge asset during the winter. I liked the office/den off the dining room. Nice to be able to close the doors and work while someone watched TV or listened to music in the living room down below. The location is excellent, about halfway between Tofte and Lutsen. Grand Marais is barely a 30-minute drive. The beach at the bottom of the long stairway (steep but very solid) is gorgeous. Loved the little caves carved into the cliff by the wave action. It had an isolated, private feeling even though it was acessible to all six units in the complex.

The property was very clean, in a great location and nicely decorated. The hosts made us feel at home and the wine and greeting card was appreciated

Great little condo with everything we needed right near the Lake. Close to many things the north shore has to offer. Garage parking was a bonus perk!

The property had great access to Lake Superior and was centrally located for other North Shore fun. It was very comfortable. Thanks for a great week!

Best of all was the friendly lady who was at the front desk. She was so helpful and got us everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this property and would definitely recommend it. The townhouse is perched above the Lake Superior with great views (between the trees). We found it roomy with plenty of separate sleeping areas for a family with grown adult children. The kitchen was fantastic, one of the nicest kitchens in any unit we've rented.
