Tremont, Maine
Three bedroom, two bath home on a tidal inlet 3 miles from Seawall entrance to Acadia National Park. Master suite with king bed and bath with shower upstairs. Two bedrooms downstairs, queen bed in one and two twins in the other. Second bathroom on main floor has tub shower combo. Washer, dryer and dishwasher are located in the efficient kitchen area. Large outside deck with grill and dining table. A picnic table and seating are tucked away under a canopy of trees on the shore with views of bass harbor and undeveloped property across the inlet.
Wonderful property. Quiet and relaxing place to stay. The view was fabulous. Owner was so responsive and helpful. Hope to go back next year.
We enjoyed our stay
Very peaceful, clean, and comfortable!
We loved our stay. The property manager was very responsive to our needs. Would highly recommend it.
Lovely setting for this home. Comfortable, spacious. Very quiet neighborhood.
The house was perfect for our visit. The amenities were perfect & the location close to all activities. We enjoyed sitting by the inlet each morning. The sunsets were gorgeous. Thank you Stacy!
Great location / very clean / just as advertised / will stay again
Just Fabulous
House is spotless clean. Fairly new construction and everything we used worked well. Scenic landscaping and relaxing setting. Owners were responsive to messaging questions. 9am checkout a bit tough. The quiet side of the island is indeed quiet, but Southwest Harbor is 5 minute drive for some shops and restaurants, and 30 minute drive to the main park entrances is not a big deal. Overall, a comfortable, scenic and relaxing escape if you don't want to bother with the touristy crowds in Bar Harbor.
The cottage was a perfect place to stay while we explored Acadia.
We had great time in Tremont. Easy access to the western part off Acadia national park or a short drive to Bass Harbor. The house had all the comforts we needed. Don’t forget to check out Thurston’s Lobster Pound, our favorite spot in the area
Absolutely loved our stay here for a couple of days while visiting Acadia. The house was such a nice getaway on the water. My daughter loved hanging out and catching crabs on the beach right in the BEAUTIFULLY LANDSCAPED backyard while we grilled burgers on the back porch. My favorite moment of our entire trip was sipping coffee on the back porch in the early morning fog while watching a small deer family play in the backyard. Baby deer was very curious of us. The house was super clean, well stocked, and very easy to get in / out with a door code. Everything was fantastic and the host made it very easy. We have never traveled to Maine before, but we will most definitely be back and would definitely stay here again.
We would stay here again. It was close to all the trails. Clean house.
Great location for us. We spent three days exploring Acadia National Park and surrounding area. Easy access and plenty of nearby restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores. Stacy was quick to respond to a couple of minor things that occurred. Would highly recommend this rental. House was clean, well furnished and very comfortable for four adults.
We came up for a quiet getaway with easy access to the park and this fit the bill perfectly. The house is well designed--new, comfortable, bright and clean. The light and the view are lovely and it was less than 30 minutes to Acadia trailheads and just ten minutes to the town of Southwest Harbor.
Light and open with great outdoor space. Quiet location
Thank you for the stay
Great Location And quite area
Stacey was wonderful to deal with. The space is a little close, although everything we required was there, it was very compact. For two seniors we were not comfortable using the upstairs bedroom because of the steep stairs leading to it. The view was great and the outdoor space very nice. The cell service was so spotty we couldn't really use our phones.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and are looking forward to returning to Maine. My kids loved the proximity to the water and spent many hours catching crabs in the tide pools. The cottage was clean and well appointed. Thanks again.
This was such a great vacation! The house was very clean, and the location was gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again in the future, and would recommend to others.
We had a lovely week at this wonderful home. It really goes way beyond a typical cottage. The location was perfect. We brought our kayaks and put in to the cove at the edge of the property on several days. It was close to Southwest Harbor, restaurants, and just a short drive to hiking opportunities. We walked and biked the carriage trails in Acadia nearly every day. The manager was fabulous. Everything we needed was there. We ran out of propane one night and after a quick text, she was at the house in minutes with a full tank. Can’t wait to visit again next year.
Just spent a week here with my wife and a couple of friends. It’s not really an ocean front property as advertised, but instead is on a tidal inlet that drains virtually completely at low tide into a mudflat. That said, it really is a very nice location both scenically and for watching birds. The title action brings many terns,, and watching them dive for fish is very entertaining. We also saw herons on a number of occasions. The house is OK and looks to be a prefab, functional but without much charm. The kitchen is quite small with minimal counter space and just the basics. The spice cabinet consisted of a salt shaker and the pepper container with about a teaspoon of pepper. So bring your own spices and herbs. Also the icemaker did not work, however we just bought bags of ice and stowed them in the freezer. Also, there was no bar soap in the bathrooms so be sure to bring your own along. The three head units for the heat pump provided good air conditioning, which was needed as most of the days of our stay were in the high 80s and very humid.. The beds were fine, so I should point out that the queen bedroom downstairs was very small with barely a place to stash a suitcase. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay here. Tremont in Bass Harbor are really lovely spots on Mount Desert Island, so the location was quite excellent. And the house fundamentally did work for us.
Lovely clean home on an amazing property. Great landscaped outdoor spaces right on the water. Private, quiet and secluded yet close to everything.
Great location for many hikes in Acadia. Loved that it was away from the crowds of Bar Harbor yet close enough if we wanted to head there for dinner. Much easier to get parking in Bar Harbor after 730pm so great for later dinners. Loved eating breakfast and sipping my coffee on the back deck. Very relaxing.
This property was a perfect location for our Bar Harbor/Acadia family vacation. We really enjoyed staying here, the house was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for our trip!
Property was exactly we were expecting, very nice and clean. Short drive to e everything we wanted to see or do.
