Sunflower Cottage - between Katoomba and Leura

I enjoyed the location of tge sunflower cottage but didn't like the state of the place: dusty and not clean.

We loved our stay at Sunflower Cottage. Great location, lovely home with internal heating, Netflix, Alexa and balcony. Would absolutely stay again.

Loved it. Beautiful and clean. Only thing is the couch is very uncomfortable but thats only a little thing. We will be coming back.

We had a nice stay, very comfortable beds.

We didn’t hear directly from the host, but we received an email with the entry code and address and a few other details. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon. The spa bath was an enjoyable extra.

Sunflower Cottage was the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed. The cottage is beautifully presented and cozy. The highlight for us was the spa bath and fireplace – the perfect combination for unwinding after a long day. The fireplace created such a warm atmosphere, while the spa bath was pure luxury. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet still close to everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of indulgence, Sunflower Cottage is ideal.

Stayed here with my partner for 2 nights. Check in was e-mail communication and that was it (which we prefer). Other reviews say the owner is easy to contact but we never needed to. We weren't familiar with the way the central heating worked at first but once we figured out we had to turn each individual heater on via a dial at the base it was no problem. Heated blankets were nice, enjoyed the use of the fireplace. No complaints! Would gladly stay again.

Nice little house and a good spot, close to all the things we wanted to look at. I couldnt figure out how to turn the central heating on, and only 1 oil heater worked, but luckily we brought enough fire wood. Thanks

Clean and tidy. Great heating and fire place (BYO firewood, matches etc). Basic provisions provided. Very steep driveway but able to drive all cars up it. Amenities all functional. Basic but adequate. Thank you

I loved the house as it kept the wind and rain out. The local cockatiels were so fun to watch. Glad we had a car. The hills were huge and we would not have seen much of the town. Great hikes on the day we got sun.

Property was great. Wish there was guest book so we can say thanks. Would like an extra comfort chair in front room, fine for 4 people with six adults more difficult. Extra plates and oven tray would be more helpful again fine 4 people with 6 people be more helpful. Otherwise 5 stars. Thanks

Very well appointed. Beds were super comfortable. Great location between Leura and Katoomba. Would have liked some wood for fireplace and/or directions to source some but other heating was more than adequate…very cosy.

Lovely house on a quiet street. Everything we needed on site made for an easy trip. Easy access and communication with owner. Recommend.

The property is excellent and exactly as described. Minnie was a joy to deal with. We will definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous time at sunflower cottage. The house was spacious and the rooms were very comfortable! The central heating kept us nice and warm and the house was in a good location and it was easy to drive and navigate around from the cottage.

Front gate broken no protection from street, no gate on balcony. Not secure for pets. Backyard area shabby & not managed. Backyard very Slippery & dark no lighting at night. One 3 seat lounge - no other comfortable seating. We were half hour late for check out at 10.00 & were abused by cleaner / supervisor who was very rude & nasty - will not stay again. Very disappointed

The house was lovely
