I can only recommend tis cosy little place.

The house is very beautiful and clean. The place around is quite and good to relax. Everyone is very friendly. I recommend this place and we want to go there again. It’s perfect for family vacation and if you want to quite and not busy vacation.

We had an absolute great time at house Mara. Livio is a perfect host: When we arrived everything was perfeclty prepared. The house is gorgeous and fully equipped. The beds were very comfortable. And everything was perfeclty clean. We loved to stay in the beautiful garden. All in all, we enjoyed our time and hope to come back soon! Livio, thank you so much!

The old stone house was lovely, a nice space to relax, even if most of the time we spend on the terrace or jacuzzi (when not at the beach or out around the area). The hosts, Livio and Magda were very friendly and helpful; we enjoyed a half day out with them on their little boat (highly recommended). The village itself is quite small, no restaurants there but good ones a short drive away. The beach was walking distance, in theory, but we walked once and recommend driving. Beaches are rocky but secluded and never crowded. Inside the house all amenities are there, including air conditioning (needed on really hot days) and wifi (which was a bit weak). We loved the place and would be happy to go again.

A homely, traditional house with outside space set in a quiet rural position. The house was very clean and the welcome from the owners warm and friendly and they were very willing to provide lovely meals if required. A good base for visiting the Istrian resorts but not an easy walking access to the nearest beach.

A return visit for us at this beautiful rustic cottage set in peaceful grounds just outside the lovely village of Rakalj. Ideal for a couple just like us, but also perfect for two to three couples or a family. The house oozes charm and has been lovingly restored by the owner to create a wonderful retreat with exposed stone walls and beams while at the same time providing all the mod cons for easy living. The large open plan living downstairs creates a good space for larger groups and one of the bedrooms upstairs is a very generous size, whilst the other one is very comfortable and pretty for two people. Outside space is amazing with several seating areas providing sun or shade to suit all preferences. There is a large table for dining and an outside kitchen space for BBQs. Young children can enjoy the little playground area at the back of the cottage and you are surrounded by fields and the vine and olive groves. Waking up to the sounds of just the birds singing is heaven. If you're feeling energetic you can walk or cycle to the village in just a few minutes where there are a couple of local bars. This place is a perfect location for either just chilling and relaxing on the local deserted beaches, reached by small tracks just less than five minutes away or for travelling to larger resorts like Rovinj or Pula. Our favourite place was Fazana which I recommend if you like to sit by a small harbour drinking a glass wine or cocktail watching the sun set. Less than 30 minutes drive it's quieter than Rovinj but still has the charm and traditional ambience with a wide choice of restaurants to eat in. Highly recommend Danonna just set back from the harbour in the little side alleys by the church. Livio and Magda are fabulous hosts who will offer you a warm welcome and help you with anything. Always ready to share a beer or Grappa! Great cooking service provided if you request it. We look forward to our next visit.
