SUMMER FUN BEACH GETAWAY RETREAT - VINTAGE - NOSTALGIC SURF DECOR & OUTDOOR LIFE

The place was very nice. The space was very clean, the host was super responsive and helpful. He provided some great local recommendations. We had a lot of fun and the space worked for our group’s needs. Some things to note: While the unit has its own entrance, it is a barn door that separates it from the upstairs unit. The unit is not directly on the ocean. And while it was just a short walk, when we opened the windows, you could not hear or see the ocean, which was one of the things we were looking for in our stay. The path to the back gate was not well lit.

We booked this at short notice after a previous booking on another website fell through at the last minute. We had a lovely few days. Loved the outdoor area, fire pits and bbq. Exceedingly close to the beach! Scott was very quick to answer any questions we had. He also provided a ramp for my sons wheelchair which was useful. The sofa bed was rather uncomfortable and not really what I would describe as a trundle bed - no springs. There was also no blind or curtains in the sitting room which caused rather an issue with sleeping there. Could do with a proper plumbed sink outdoors or in the hallway but it is clear on the website that it is not available. Avoid Toppers pizzas - there were lots of rats in their outdoor seating area!

Our family stayed at this property for three nights. We absolutely loved our time there! It is perfectly located so close to the beach, which was of utmost importance to us. It was very clean and we had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay. Communication with the owner was great, he was very responsive before, during, and as we wrapped up our trip. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for our family with two kids. We loved going to local restaurants that were only a couple of miles away, and not having to cook was my goal. If we DID want to cook, the outdoor grill and sink area would have been perfect for outdoor dining. The property manual was so thoughtfully put together and answered any questions we might have had, including dining suggestions in the area. These owners really put a lot of time into ensuring their guests had everything they needed to have a relaxing vacation! The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor seating area was perfect for morning coffee and wine sipping at night. We HIGHLY recommend this property and hope to return next summer! Thank you! ?

Beautiful, cozy hideaway with everything you need. Scott is a great host. We had the beach to ourselves. Lots of great restaurants and plenty of things to do. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very clean, nicely decorated, good location.

This place is great for a beach getaway! It’s about the 4th house in from the beach so a very short walk with its own entrance separate from the main house and had plenty of street parking. We spent most of our time on the back patio enjoying the ocean breeze during the day or fire pits at night. There was plenty of space on the beach and there are two harbors in either direction - about 10 minutes to restaurants and stores. We took a ferry ride out to the Channel Islands which was great! Host was very responsive and helpful.

My wife and I had a great time. The location is great with excellent beach access. The beach house is clean and well taken care of. The weather is great too! We come from a 100+ degree area. This is our second stay at this wonderful place.

Incredibly clean and comfortable with a fabulous patio space that was enjoyable day and night. We were so impressed with how well-stocked the kitchenette was for The outdoor kitchen worked perfectly for cooking a variety of meals. The short walk to the sand was very convenient. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood as well. Check in and out was seamless. Well-managed property!

We could not have had a more perfect stay. Scott is a wonderful host. The house is a beach paradise. It is much more beautiful than you can imagine in the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. We spent our time barbecuing with our family on his fabulous patio with the gas fire pit. Days on the gorgeous quiet beach which is a very short walk right across the street. The best day was the seeing the school of dolphins that visited for hours! Took a day cruise out of Ventura Harbor, Channel Islands is very close. Great restaurants nearby. And the beds were so comfortable! We are definitely coming back again and again. Scott thank you for your hospitality. Wish I could give 10 stars?
