Our family had an absolutely delightful time staying at Whispering Willows Farm! From the moment we arrived, it was clear we had chosen a special place for our retreat. The nearly two-century-old farmhouse radiates charm, surrounded by vast private acreage that beckons to be explored. We spent hours sitting on the expansive porch, sipping hot cider and gazing out over the water, watching the wildlife. Deer, rabbits, and birds kept us company as we unwound from our busy lives. The trails winding through the forests and streams were ideal for leisurely walks to enjoy the stunning natural scenery. One particular trail that captivated us was the Norwegian Pine Trail, an ode to the beauty that Sullivan County has to offer. The evenings at Whispering Willows were just as enchanting. Whether we were around a bonfire, roasting marshmallows under the starlit sky, or enjoying dinner al fresco with the picturesque sunset, every moment was memorable. Inside, the farmhouse was a blend of comfort and history. The expansive living room, warmed by a pellet stove, was the perfect spot for family gatherings. Its numerous windows served as a constant reminder of the natural beauty surrounding us. The kitchen, truly an Epicurean delight, had everything we needed to make delicious meals, making our stay feel even more homey. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect family vacation rental. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Whispering Willows Farm with us. We hope to return soon.
Great place to take a time out from the city. It is very peaceful out there. Best sleep I had in a while
This house is simply amazing and lives up to every word in the description and then some. It could simply accommodate any group and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. We were here for 4 days and three nights and loved every minute of it. Location of house was isolated and it's easy to feel like you're the only family around. House has a lot of personality and charm, and was very clean. Our children, ages two and seven, had plenty to do. Porch overlooking the pond has a view of the sunset which made it a great spot to relax outside and visit with friends.
Fit all of our needs with 6 adults and three young children. Beautiful view over a pond, amazing sunsets and a wonderful walkway between hemlock trees. House was well stocked with essentials. Will go again a wonderful place to be away from it all, yet close to a small town.
Spacious rooms with comfortable accommodations. Lovely Mountain View’s, walking path and barn fire by the pond. Restful for the soul. Great kitchen, good time!! Will come again.
The open wide-angle views on the area opens the soul. It was peacful. The frogs sang, the hawks called, the kids played on the expansive lawn, and the adults rested and worked with excellent high speed internet. This place is great.
This country farm doesn't disappoint. Even the older parts of the property and home add value to help bring you back in your heart to a time when days were longer and real relationships were deeper. And every day God painted a new scene in the sky bringing a deeper sense of the value of this trip!
If you have ever dreamed of sitting by the fire watching the sun rise and set over rolling hills Whispering Willows Farm could be your spot! Our family recently enjoyed an idyllic New Years in this amazing spot. We spent three days lazing by the fire, cooking, eating and watching the world go by. We forced ourselves to venture out a couple times to enjoy a hike in Ricketts Glen and lunch in Eaglesmere but otherwise were completely happy to enjoy the beautiful home and setting. From an exceptionally equipped kitchen to good Wi-Fi and super comfortable beds, this house had everything we needed for a heavenly winter getaway. The owners could not have been more hospitable and responsive! We can't wait to return!
My family was looking for a peaceful place to stay near Ricketts Glen State Park and we certainly found it in Whispering Willows Farm! It was peaceful, quiet, cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the property itself and the beautiful views that came with it. We highly recommend it!
