Our family rented this beautiful home in Wellfleet overlooking a wonderful marsh. Unfortunately the weather was dreadful for our daughters wedding but it did clear up for a beach wedding which was memorable. A couple of issues - I wasn't able to contact the owners through either their emails or phone numbers prior to our arrival. Not serious fortunately. The ice machine in the freezer door was frozen solid so no ice for our stay. No trash or recycling bags were left as specified in the house notes. Supplies were very low - so be sure to bring just about everything. It is the most gorgeous landscaping - so sad the weather was so bad so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor areas at all. Very peaceful and lovely! Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay and were able to make our daughters wedding in Wellfleet effortless. The house was comfortable to entertain and use as home base for an in to wedding. Views were calming and beautiful.
This home was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. The house is spacious and welcoming. The separate guest cottage was perfect for grandparents. The beautiful yard and swing set were ideal for the kids. The view is gorgeous and we all enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to spend time in Wellfleet.
Great space for my family of 4. Well located home away from home.
This is a very nice home on a beautifully landscaped and secluded lot. The description was spot on with abundant amenities. The small separate bungalow was a real plus for us. We had group yoga every morning in the large rec area and Tai Chi on the front deck next to the fountain and pond - perfect. The public areas are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Sadly (and almost unbelievable considering the summer we've had) it was too chilly to really take advantage of the very nice deck area off the main room. We really enjoyed out stay and would definitely come back.
Beautiful property and location. Will try to set up another stay next summer. :)
My family and I had a great time at this house. There was plenty of room for our three generations and with the house spread out all on one level, it was great for playing hide and seek with the kids. Having the guest house (we referred to it as the cottage) worked out really well. Those who were early risers stayed out there. There were only two things about this house that gave me pause. One was that the air conditioning did not flow into the bedrooms well, but most nights it wasn’t even needed. We opened the sliding glass doors and let the breeze in. The other thing was the steep drop off beyond the back yard. It made me nervous for the little ones but they never went near the edge so it ended up being a non-issue. The view from the back of the house was beautiful. The whole back of the house is floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which allowed for unobstructed views of the outdoors. The center of the quaint little town (Wellfleet) was just a short 5 minute bike ride (or two minute car ride) away, where there was a harbor, a beach, playground, hiking trail, and any number of shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed it. It was a great week!
