Stayed Feb 1, 2020It was terrific to come back to this wonderful property again. The location is terrific- on the ocean side with beautiful sunrises and ocean breezes. Easy access from here to anything you need or want to do in Key Largo. The house is lovely and comfortable. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a month of paradise!

Stayed Jan 13, 2019My husband and I rented this home for a month - our first long term vacation after retirement. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Beginning with the owners: they were very quick to communicate with us, very patient as we navigated a long term rental for the first time, and completely friendly and kind when making sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions. The home was very clean and comfortable, and was furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Thorough directions and notes were posted throughout the house to operate everything. We enjoyed the use of their kayaks many times - to paddle out around the smaller island and back, and view wildlife - both in the water and the air (we are birders and the birdwatching was phenomenal - particularly from the first floor deck in the morning and evenings). We had our bikes with us. The bike/walkway along Hwy 1 was easily accessed and very safe for daily rides. The neighborhood itself was great; full of friendly people and with a super community pool. Finally, and probably most obviously... the location and views! It was incredible to wake up to gorgeous sunrises every morning, which could be viewed right from the bed in the master bedroom. The master's balcony on the third floor, the deck on the main floor, and the patio on the ground floor were all furnished with comfortable places to sit and enjoy the ocean views and breezes. Even the 1 or 2 rainy days were beautiful there. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this home and highly recommend it to all! Many, many thanks to Michelle and Scott for sharing their piece of paradise!

Stayed Jun 1, 2018We rented this property for the month of June 2018. The owners are extremely nice. They actually invited us to see the property before our stay. During the stay, Michele was super responsive via text. The home it well stocked, with quality linens, towels, and kitchen accessories. For those of you not familiar with the upper Florida Keys, there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets within a ten minute drive from the property. The only negatives we experienced relate to mother nature. During our stay, we brought a 19' boat. We were able to rent a space at the association's dock for the month. Due to some extreme tides, we had some difficulty getting the boat out on low tide. Also, towards the end of our stay, a lot of seaweed washed ashore which made the area behind the home much less inviting. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are hoping to rent the home again next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I am glad to review this property in Silver Shores, Key Largo, where my husband and I spent the entire month of August, 2017. Our goal was a getaway from our great SW Florida home, which serves as residence and office for both my husband and myself. We needed time to relax and take a break from our hectic schedules. This property was just under a 4 hour drive from home so the location was perfect. Because we are long-time Florida residents, we have a unique perspective on homes in our state. I am happy to report that Michelle and Scott's property was a cut above. Our hosts were always available to answer any of our questions. They made sure to leave notes in key places in the house, explaining any important details. The listing description of their home was accurate. It took some time to get used to all the stairs, since currently our home has a single story. But in time, I found the stairs to be a great form of exercise. We enjoyed both dining in and eating out with many options available in Key Largo. A wonderful highlight of our stay was the newly resurfaced pool they have at the Silver Shores clubhouse. It's huge and there are always friendly neighbors there. Another highlight for me was the morning water aerobics attended by many of the neighborhood's ladies as well as a couple men brave enough to join us! There was a large field in the neighborhood so my husband could fly his stunt kites with ease. The wind was usually steady to keep his kits flying high. His colorful kites turned out to be entertaining for the other residents as well. And, my favorite spot in the entire house is the 3rd floor balcony facing the Atlantic Ocean. The water was generally calm and the breeze delightful. The view was gorgeous any time of day or night. I would grab a book or Kindle and spend many hours there reading and watching the birds by the water. All in all, it was a memorable vacation.
