Wake up to panoramic lake & mountain views in a peaceful, no-wake 60 acer cove—perfect for relaxing, reconnecting, & making lasting memories.
This cedar home offers privacy, comfort, and one of the most serene settings on Smith Mountain Lake. It sits above the cabins offering a spectacular elevated view of the lake and mountains. I have been told by clients, realtors and friends, I have one ofthe best lake views See notes

I am available via text, phone or email. Customer service is my top priority, so reach out anytime you need assistance. I have been renting my home for over 45 years and customer service is my priority.

Cedar Key Village is part of a larger community called Cedar Key Estates. Most of the Cedar Key Estates are full time residents. Realtors have a waiting list of people who want to purchase in Cedar Key because we live on the largest no wake cove on the lake. It is over 60 acres. The mile long drive to to reach Cedar Key village is heavily treed, which offers a spectacular entrance into our resort, especially in the fall.. There are ten smaller cabins and our larger home that make up Cedar Key Village.

The entire house, decks, hot tub, patio and dock. I have one of the few homes on the lake where you can drive directly to the waterfront and your dock, perfect for bringin your cooler, food and water toys. It is also just a minute or so walk

Unfortunatly we are in a rural community which means you must rely on your car, no buses or subways.

Current Lake Conditions

Smith Mountain Lake is currently about five feet below full pool due to the ongoing drought. While many docks around the lake are now on dry ground, our dock still provides access to approximately 25 feet of water. An extended ladder has been installed to make swimming easy, and guests—including seniors and those recovering from knee or back surgery—have had no difficulty using it.

If you're bringing a boat, you're welcome to use our private boat slip. Due to the lower water level, you'll need to step into the water to access the dock, or you can use one of our complimentary kayaks. A floating dock in our nearby cove (about 100 yards away) also provides easy passenger pick-up and drop-off without entering the water.

Despite the drought, our guests continue to enjoy swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, and everything that makes Smith Mountain Lake a wonderful vacation destination.

The cabin was even more beautiful than advertised. The views were stunning. This was a perfect place to spend a laid back spring break with our grandkids. The fabulous boat dock made it very easy to rent a pontoon boat for several days. My wife thought the hot tub was perfect. There were no unpleasant surprises!

We all just loved this place. We were blown away from the moment we entered the giant, open, multi-purpose room - serving as Dan, living room, dining room, sitting room, fireplace room and game room - with seating in this one area for at least 25. Big, Beautiful wood burning fireplace, extremely comfortable sofas and recliners, and instant surround sound music via Sirius XM on the stereo. Very well appointed and supplied with everything we needed for our trip, even including separate towels for the hot tub - which was awesome - clean and ready to go. We look forward to coming back in every season if we can to get a different view. Can't wait to see it with a canopy of leaves over the huge deck in the summer, with a blanket of snow in the winter, and the beautiful colors of Autumn from all the trees and mountains and lake sitting right outside the door. Also - great communications from this host!

The host was welcoming and very responsive as needed. The home was very well stocked- there wasn’t anything that we needed that wasn’t there. We loved the open floor plan and space for everyone. The cabin feel with lots of wood and exposed wood beams made it feel charming. The outdoor space was plentiful and the views were fantastic. My daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed the privacy of the downstairs suite.

Beautiful and serene. The house was clean and well appointed. Lots of kitchen gear making cooking for large groups easy. Enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, and floating dock to park our pontoon rental. Alicia was as nice and responsive as she could be. Highly recommend.

Three generations of a family stayed here to attend our daughter’s/sister’s/granddaughter’s graduation from VirginiaTech, with ages ranging from 21 to 80. EVERYONE was happy with the accommodations (an often difficult feat!). The house has stunning views, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the surrounding woods were serene and perfect for afternoon walks counting the numerous deer that populate the area. We could not get over how gorgeous and well maintained this property is. The living area is spacious and was able to accommodate groups of people clumped in various spots holding their own conversations or playing one of the many board games that were tucked away in the closet. The kitchen had every accoutrement imaginable, from pots and pans to mixers, knives, multiple sized bowls and platters, tons of spices and seasonings, and dozens of kinds of teas. We absolutely loved being here, and the host was so wonderful to communicate with. She reached out well before the trip, then again immediately before we left for the trip, and then on the day of arrival to let us know that the house was cleaned early and available for check in several hours in advance. We also really appreciated being able to bring our dog with us - he absolutely loved the lake and jumping from the dock. It was probably one of the last vacations we’ll get to do together as a family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place or host to work with. Thank you, Alicia!!!

The cabin and property were both beautiful. The home was clean and had a well-appointed kitchen. Upon arrival, the house had a strong, musty smell, but opening the windows and lighting candles rid the home of the musty aroma. My daughter has allergies, and I was concerned the scent would make it difficult for her, but she had no issues. There was a road and several small cabins between the home and the lake, but you could see between them to the water; only a small amount of the view was blocked. One of the bedrooms was not accessible from the home, but rather you had to walk outside and to the back of the house to enter that room. It was disappointing that the room could not be accessed from the main part of the house, but my son and his wife volunteered to take it so the rest of us could be upstairs with the baby. That separate space opened to a beautiful patio. There were two decks, one off the other; that was our favorite part of the home. There were built-in gates that kept the baby and the dogs on the decks, which made using that space more relaxing. The kayaks were under the deck, and no one wanted to pull them out, so we did not use them, but I assume that if we had, it would have made the stay even better. The owner was very communicative and eager to make our stay great. Overall, the home was beautiful, and we had a wonderful weekend.

We stayed 7 days here for a family vacation. My grown kids, my parents, my husband and dog. The Lodge accommodated all of us. We fished everyday. We swam every day. Fixed huge family dinners every night. Then we chilled out in the hot tub at night. Thank you Alicia for opening your home. We will definitely be back! Maybe every year :)
