Outside, you’ll find a secluded garden with a hot tub, patio area, comfortable outdoor furniture, and a charming pergola with a cast iron table and chairs beneath — a lovely spot to enjoy the peace and quiet. For larger groups, a Jay-Be Supreme folding single bed can be set up in the cloakroom to accommodate a ninth guest. Entry is via a secure lockbox, with the key code provided prior to your arrival. The property has a separate front door, offering guests complete privacy and convenience. We live just opposite Walnut Tree Barn and like to pop over once you’ve arrived, just to make sure everything’s okay. After that, we’ll give you your privacy but are always nearby if you need anything. It is a rural countryside location with a private garden, overlooking a meadow. There are some houses nearby, a couple of agricultural storage barns and a small campsite adjacent to the property. Within a 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) is the charming market town of Crediton. Numerous country footpaths are on the doorstep. The surrounding Yeo valley countryside is ideal for walking and cycling. Fishing and golfing are also available locally. Amazing house, hosts were fantastic, fully equipped with everything we needed. We met Alison upon arrival, it was lovely to receive a welcome basket. The garden is fantastic, great views across the fields and loved hearing the trains pass every now and then. One of our group went out for a run one morning, and didn't pass anyone but the local cows. Highly recommend this barn, it was exceptional. Hot tub was a lovely addition, we really didn't want to leave.

The barn was clean and spacious with everything you need to relax with family or a group of friends. There was plenty of space in the garden for children to run around in the fresh air and it is well-located to go towards either stretch of Devonshire coastline and Exeter too. Allison was a very attentive host and would respond very quickly to any messages we sent.

What an amazing barn conversion. The open plan design made it feel spacious and airy yet comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were instructions for the combination microwave, oven and hob in the information folder, which was useful. It was fantastic that all bedrooms were en-suite and the same size. This made room allocation a lot easier. The peacefulness of the country side created a relaxed atmosphere and the view of the field and trees from the garden added to the tranquility. We did not feel isolated by the location as Crediton was a short drive away. It was great to be given the choice of having double or twin beds by Alison and there were some lovely touches in the form of biscuits, teabags and coffee to welcome us. I would certainly recommend anyone to stay in this property and we would certainly stay there again.

The barn has been renovated to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. It had absolutely everything we needed and the hot tub was fantastic! Alison provided the best communication both before and during our stay and she was very helpful. We could not fault the barn and we would definitely like to return one day.

I've stayed in a lot of properties and this one was just perfect. A family Christmas that we will never forget. Alison was so helpful before we arrived responding to our multiple requests and questions. The Barn was beautifully decorated for Christmas and just a joy to be in all together. From the luxury bedding, comfy sofas and well stocked kitchen, I cannot fault a thing. It was immaculate and we will definitely return in the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful location even more. Thank you Alison!

I stayed at Walnut Barn for a long weekend along with 5 old school friends to celebrate our big birthday year! We had a fantastic chilled stay. The barn is beautiful with great views over the countryside and a quiet away from it all location. Lovely garden with plenty of seating areas and the hot tub was well used! There was plenty of room in the barn, great to have 4 bedrooms, all en-suite, snd a lovely large open plan kitchen/diner. The barn is very well equipped, with all you needed for your stay. Lovely personal touches too and Alison was a communicative host! Would happily recommend this property. Excellent place for a large family/friends get together.
