Stayed Jul 7, 2025The location is great, right across from the pool and two blocks from the beach. It was a little tight for 5 people in gathering space unless you were outside.Beach closet includes cart and chairs but some items were old and unusable.

Stayed Apr 19, 2025We love the clipper cove neighborhood, and have stayed there for years. This was the first time in this specific home. After driving for 14 hours with three kids, I texted and asked if we could get into the property 30 minutes early. I was told I would have to wait until check in time. So we sat in the driveway for 30 minutes. Although the pictures are accurate, it didn’t really show how beat up the living room and kitchen are. The sofa has an ill fitting slip cover that kept coming off, the living room chairs needed a cleaning, and the kitchen cabinets were dingy. The windowsills, ceiling, fans, and baseboards all had a pretty thick layer of dust and dirt. Although the floors are newish, after walking on them for 10 minutes the bottoms of our feet or socks were black. We ended up spending our first hour wiping surfaces down to make it livable. Vacasa did reach out and say they could send housekeeping, but that was the next day, and we had already taken care of a lot of it and didn’t really want to deal with having housekeeping at our vacation home. We were given very specific instructions about the cable, cable box, and channels. However, there was no cable in the house. All of the TVs are smart TVs, which we appreciated. However, there was no way to watch any live sports throughout our stay. We ended up having to log into our Hulu account in order to watch those. The bedrooms were cute, and the bathrooms were decent. We appreciated the games and beach equipment.

Stayed May 18, 2023The family took a 3 day beach getaway to Destin FL. We had a great time at the beach and even more fun in our VRBO home. We played games, cooked good food and enjoyed the NBA playoffs. The home was equipped with a grill, had flat screen tv’s cable ready in every room and had a collection of board and card games. This was one of our best beach trips ever.

Stayed Mar 4, 2023The property is ideally located close to the beach (maybe a 4 minute walk). It's a beautiful home and ideal for a family. The property is managed, however, by Vacasa, who deserves a 0 star rating. We noticed more bugs than we had expected: we counted 2 dead cockroaches and about 7 dead silverfish, one was layered within the towels that set out in the bathroom. We also noticed live silverfish. Perhaps it's just Florida, but the property was not properly cleaned upon our arrival given the bugs on the floor and in the towels. Additionally, we were INCREDIBLY frustrated with Vacasa with the locks on all of the doors. Upon arrival, the code they gave us didn't work for any door. When we called and waited for them to reset it, they failed to tell us that the code to the front door was different than the code to the back door. This caused issues on Sunday morning: we deadbolted the front door overnight (which needs to be adjusted/aligned) and went out to the back patio to drink coffee on the porch swing. However, the back door locked upon being shut and was on a different code than the front door, which we were not informed of. We called Vacasa approximately 14 times over a 2.5 hour period to get the issue fixed. The onsite team took forever to respond. Not great with an 82 year old who had coffee... We would probably stay there again, but we would insist on confirming that the property had been cleaned and that we would have a code for the back door.
