Skomagerhytten is a small, cozy, rustic house with a unique location right at the start of a forest and a lake. The lake belongs to Gråsten Castle, which is located on the other side of the lake, and the view from the little house over the lake is fantastic. Here you can stay in the cobbler's old workshop - a charming annex lovingly and rustically renovated with respect for the unique history and soul of the house.

The house itself is full of authentic charm with exposed bricks and old beams in the ceilings, and the floors and ceilings are original and crooked with old Flensburg bricks and solid oak planks. It's authentic and a little primitive with the old details and the bed and living room openly connected in the space that was once the shoemaker's old workshop.

In addition to the bed area with the fairytale bed in the living room, where a curtain can be drawn between the rooms, the cobbler's hut's 56 square meters offers another bedroom with three beds. There's also room for a baby bed.

Here you can enjoy primitive luxury with details like a charming SMEG fridge in the rustic but new and modern kitchen. The cabin has a private entrance and your own little enclosed backyard where you can enjoy the scent of the rose bushes on the terrace with café set and barbecue.

On one side of Skomagerhytten you have direct access to the Gråsten forests with some of Southern Jutland's best hiking trails and cycling routes, and on the other side is the cozy square with small shops, restaurants and Den Gamle Kro. Within a five-minute walk you can reach the beautiful marina, the royal kitchen garden and Gråsten Castle, where you can watch the Royal Life Guard march past in the summer. Alnor Strandpark is 900 meters away with a blue beach flag and child-friendly sandy beach, and Sønderborg can be reached in 10 minutes by car, and the Gendarmstien trail runs right past the beautiful grounds.

There is free parking and two adult bikes you can borrow for free.

It's an old house and the floors are chilly in the fall, winter and early spring - so it's nice to bring slippers or warm wool socks for the coldest days.
