After your epic days spent exploring the surrounding natural wonders, you can return to a brand new, yet rustic cabin. Then on to cook a nice meal in the kitchen, or run back to Torrey (4 miles) for a prepared meal. Then, let the evening show begin by watching a colorful sunset bounce off the red rock bluffs, relax by a crackling fire and enjoy a magical night under the stars. Away from the bright lights of large cities, Teasdale’s night sky is a wonder to behold, it’s millions of stars shining bright and clear (star gazing). Afterwards, drift off to sleep in a comfortable bed in anticipation of the next day’s discovery.
The red rock country with spectacular views lies at the heart of the most stunning country imaginable. Hike, climb, ride, photograph, and scramble around our wonderful backyard — Capitol Reef. We are centrally located between Utah’s other national parks — Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands and, of course, Zion. The cabin is a great place to experience the best of Utah’s stunning landscapes and a perfect base camp for your southern Utah adventure. Capitol Reef National Park and Utah’s Big 5 National Parks are best explored over multiple days. The location is breathtaking, and the overall experience, well…unforgettable.
Wonderful indoor and outdoor space. Easy access but complete privacy just minutes from Torrey's shops and restaurants, Boulder Mountain's trails and Capitol Reef's awe-inspiring landscapes. Nested in the secluded, rural town of Teasdale, Utah, this brand new home commands almost 360º views and is tastefully decorated with a contemporary rustic touch.
Just minutes from Capitol Reef National Park, you can explore almost 100 miles of natural wonders, including cliffs, canyons, domes and natural bridges. From Hickman’s Bridge and Fishlake National Forest to Anasazi State Park and the Prehistoric Petroglyph, there are many other stunning sights to see and they’re all within about an hour of this serene, out-of-the way respite. Seasonal nightlife includes local natural history, culture, and live music in nearby Torrey (4 scenic minutes -- a sweet, tree-lined village). Oh, and the fishing -- don't forget the winding Fremont River and the big brookies of the Boulder Mountains and Fish Lake (Fishlake National Forest). The small town of Bicknell is also nearby.
Enjoy the beauty and serenity of being off the beaten path, and yet just off Scenic Byway 12, designated as one of the “World’s 10 Most Beautiful Highways.” An area where you can delight in hiking, backpacking, canyoneering and photo tours.
After you’ve explored Capitol Reef and the other National Parks--time permitting you can check out the newly announced National Monuments:

• Kaiparowits National Monument
• Grand Staircase National Monument

Majestic views of The Boulder Mountains, red rock cliffs and more peace and quiet than you'll know what to do with. Sweeping views of red rock and mountains. Take morning/evening walks in our little hamlet/neighborhood.
The joy of travel involves getting away from it all, but never has the very notion of escape seemed quite as liberating as it does here. I hope your time at our home, surrounded by the beauty of dramatic red rock and starry nights will inspire you to find a stillness, away from the busyness of life.
We do allow a pet ($40 pet fee). We prefer pets that don't shed. Please don't allow pets on the furniture and clean up after them outside.

The high elevation means it is usually delightful weather in the summer, no need for air conditioning. A cozy, secluded, contemporary cabin nestled between the Boulder Mountains and Capitol Reef National park where the quiet can be deafening.
This high-desert oasis is rustic and eclectic, with wood interior and a wood burning stove. A cozy, yet roomy feel with an open floor plan has a cozy fireplace and an open kitchen. It offers two unique bedrooms each individually decorated with custom furnishings. There is a cook stove, microwave and refrigerator. Pets are ok if they don't shed or sleep on the beds, but don't tell my wife. Please be considerate of our place and clean up after them.
This is a very diverse, rural area. The main grocery store is 17 miles away in Loa, UT. In the summer in Torrey, from April thru October, there is "The Chuck Wagon" open every day, where you can get necessities, basic foods. There is 1 liquor store in the county, in Bicknell about 6 miles away - again not open on Sundays. You can get beer at The Chuck Wagon, though.

Quaint cabin perfect for winding down after a day of exploring Capital Reef National Park.
This place was just what the dr ordered! Clean, serene and comfortable. Close to town and parks. Loved it!
Quiet; great outdoor space; fantastic star gazing at night
Great location with beautiful view of Capital Reef National Park. Home was the perfect size and modern. Outside space was lovely.
Wonderful place to stay. Was just as it’s advertised.
This is a delightful home and base for explorations of Capitol Reef. Updated and spacious, this home has plenty of room for a family, a lovely dining area and living room, a second bedroom with twin beds and even a Murphy bed! Located in a quiet area slightly outside of Torrey, just minutes from the park. Note that the little coffee shop in Torrey has great coffee and ice cream!
We had a great stay.
When I located the property I was disappointed in the appearance of the lawn. I expected the photo in the listing but found the lawn full of knee high weeds. However, when we got inside we found a very clean house. However there was a stain on the bedspread on the queen bed. The owner answered all inquiries I made and was very helpful. This house would be perfect for a small family or very good friends.
The property was very nicely put together on the inside. It had nice furnishings and bedding. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were flat though. But I would stay there again. It was 15 minutes from Capitol Reef and 30 minutes from the Boulder Mountains and they were both beautiful. Torrey was 5 minutes away and had several good places to eat and the chuck wagon general store for any basic groceries and supplies. The property listing was accurate and the host sent all the needed information before we got there. It was a great stay! Thank you!
We had a great time staying in this home. Very cute and exactly what we needed for our trip to Capitol reef national park. Super close to everything in the area with in a couple of mins. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to get into Capitol reef national park and surrounding areas. Will definitely come back.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Teasdale. It's adorable and well designed and in a great location when visiting Capitol Reef National Park. The bed in the master bedroom is so incredibly comfortable. It's Heavenly! Be sure to check out the Capitol Burger food truck in Torrey for amazing food by a 5-star chef.
Great stay in this cute spot in Teasdale. The location is excellent as a base to go to Capitol reef. Home has everything you need and a great outdoor fire pit area! Would strongly recommend.
Great location. Clean house in a nice neighborhood. Compact but offers everything you need. Close to town and decent restaurants. Great location to visit Capital Reef park. Plenty off stuff to do in the area. Would stay again.
This tidy little house offers all that is needed while visiting Capital Reef. It was very clean with two bedrooms and enough kitchen appliances/utensils to make simple meals. It does not have central heating but the space heaters and little wood burning stove kept us toasty in the below freezing tempertures. There was plenty of hot water for post hiking showers and the bed was very comfortable. The town of Torrey is nearby for restaurants. Just a note of caution, if you are vegetarian or have other dietary restrictions bring food with you. The store in Torrey offers many useful things but not much in whole food/vegetarian/gluten free options.
We truly enjoyed our two night stay in this cute house. It provided everything we needed. It's clean, comfortable and we love the decoration. Location is great for visiting Capitol Reef National park. It's also very quiet at night and great for star gazing. Definitely recommended and will return when we can.
It was a very quiet area. The house met our needs. We joined friends in about a 25 minute drive to the Fruita campground. Travel was extended a bit due to seasonal road construction, no problem for us. It would have been helpful to have had some information in regards to grocery stores, emergency clinics, etc.
Great location in the small town of Teasdale Utah , close to Capital Reef and Torrey. Everything we needed was available, Very nice place and would most definitely go back.
Renting and description of property excellent
Quaint little house with a lovely backyard including hammocks. Neighbor's dog came right in the house! Didn't expect that. The house needs a good cleaning. There is no oven. Microwave is above the 'fridge and is not practical or easy to reach. Limited cooking. Overall, the place needs a good cleaning. Two twin beds are not suited for adults. The shower is super small (and dark). Despite this, the location is just a short drive to the Park. It's an okay place but needs a little love.
The 4 of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this Teasdale home earlier in June 2022. The house was very clean and neat, nicely furnished and decorated, comfortable and quiet and surrounded by beautiful scenery all around. We enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings and evenings. The drive to Torrey and Capitol Reef National Park was brief and scenic.
The house was very comfortable for our group of three. We loved that it was out of the way and quiet. The outside eating space was lovely. Beds were comfortable as was living space. Kitchen was adequate but limited counter space if you plan to cook at home. Would definitely come back.
Delightful location: Mountain Views, big meadow, quiet. Enjoyed wood heat.
We thoroughly enjoyed this cute cottage. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and attractively decorated. We loved how close it was to Capitol Reef National Park.
