Good food in nearby Torrey, including Torrey BBQ and Wild Rabbit Café. This is the vacation home of two artists based in Florida who hope you find the same calm and relaxation in this place that they do. Beautifully managed for us by April Morrison.
Loved staying at this property In fact, within a couple of hours of arrival we had contacted the owner to extend our stay Very relaxing and comfortable home Lots of amenities - including rooftop, firepit and luxury bath. Great position to explore Capital Reef - also highly recommended. We even had deer visit on our last morning. The only reason we wouldn't return is that we live nearly 8000 miles away! Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful and modern house in a private and rather spectacular setting out on the mesa. The bedrooms and baths are at opposite ends of the house, ensuring privacy for two couples. The kitchen was well-equipped for two determined cooks. Highly recommended.
We simply could not have chosen a better place to stay for our last leg of our 2 week Utah trip. From the moment we walked in the door, this gorgeous contemporary home filled us with a sense of peace and comfort. The setting just added to that feeling. We could have easily come to the Capitol Reef area and never made it to the park because we were just so darn comfortable here. Stargazing and sunrise watching bookended each day. We happily prepared meals in the well equipped kitchen. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, we would return here in a nanosecond.
This is an outstanding property. For what we were looking for, this was an ideal match. Restful, well-appointed, not close to other houses and with nice views.
The house, property, and location were utterly relaxing for my husband and me. We watched a herd of deer move through the land mornings and one evening. The rooftop patio is a beautiful place to enjoy the view. The short drive to Capital Reef was ideal because our main focus was hiking.
Beautiful home close to the park. Very modern and clean and far enough in the country to see the Milky Way at night. Highly recommended.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the unique “Steel House.” It is located in a fabulous setting, close to the National Park, but with privacy and quiet. Very clean and comfortable with lots of supplies, well equipped kitchen, and lots of storage. Communication and access was easy. We appreciated having the use of the garage, too. We especially enjoyed the roof top deck for star gazing in this “dark sky” community. Phyliss gave us a great suggestion to use Sleeping Rainbow Adventures for a jeep tour. However, they ended up contracting with Jason of Waterpocket Adventure Company. We had a fabulous day exploring Cathedral Valley with him. Capitol Reef National Park is an undiscovered National Park well worth visiting.
Wonderful home with the perfect location for exploring Capitol Reef. We visited during some very hot days so it was a nice surprise to be able to park inside the garage, not normally offered in a rental. Roof top deck was incredible, especially for sunrise. Even in hot weather the backyard got afternoon shade making it comfortable to sit outside, use the grill, etc. Only complaint would be the photos posted don’t capture how great this house really was.
This place is amazing. I would say to anyone that wants to go relax or see the wonderful towns or mountains around it to go check this home out. short drive to capital reef and great fishing at some lakes on boulder mountain or the Fremont river. Sit by the fire and have some coffee also great restaurants. Such a great stay and a beautiful property. We will stay again .
My husband and I have been married 40 years. He wanted to travel Utah. This house was centered around the parks. It was beautiful! Perfect location if you like quiet! Close enough to a town for groceries!
This is the second time we have stayed at this home and we love it! Secluded, quiet, great views, a work of art in its own right, and close to things to do if you choose, but a nice place to relax and recharge. We will be coming back soon.
The best VRBO place we have stayed at. Great house and location, well equipped and stocked, Kathy is very responsive and a good source for local information.
Great location for enjoying the park. The house was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed for making dinners which was nice. There was information on dining as well as other spots to visit and a drawer full of maps and other info for hiking. We hiked almost every day and didn’t begin to get to them all! If we come back to this area we would definitely rent here again!
