Stayed Jul 9, 2022I can’t say enough about my family’s experience at Star Field. First, the charming farmhouse was clean, fully stocked with all necessities, and wonderfully decorated. There was plenty of storage space, dressers, and closets and the common areas were comfortable and accommodating for many guests. It’s the little things that matter when traveling, like having laundry available, a good coffee machine, and toiletries and kitchen essentials available. And this place had it all. The property is beautiful and has many trails to explore, with hidden treasures along the way. The house is located just minutes from the town, the lake, and the Cooperstown ballpark. But the highlight of our experience was the owner and his friendly dog. Scott Anderson was friendly and welcoming. Every suggestion he gave us - from activities to local attractions to eating establishments - was a homerun. We not only had a great week, but we met a great new friend.

Stayed Jun 21, 2022This property was fabulous! Best location I could ask for. 12 minutes from Dreams Park, 7 from Downtown Cooperstown. Quiet. Great kitchen and Grill. Incredibly comfortable bed. The farmhouse feel was nice, but modern bathroom and kitchen kept things easy and comfortable. The host was awesome. Great communication. Very helpful. We absolutely would stay there again. Great Wi-Fi too. plenty of signal strength to get work done and even stream.

Stayed Jun 6, 2025We had a great time in this cool, old farmhouse. Scott is a wonderful host. Very welcoming and friendly. Always responded quickly if we had a question. He is very knowledgeable about the ball park and the area. The house had everything we needed. Lots of pots, pans, dishes and staples to use. We enjoyed discovering all the old things, especially when cooking. Loved sitting on the front porch and we especially enjoyed Schoog. The location was great, close to the ball park and downtown area.

Stayed Dec 23, 2024We had a wonderful Christmas at the farmhouse! With the snowy landscape, it was magical, beautiful. The house is so charming, and the host had decorated it for Christmas. I expected it to be very cold as the temps were in the low teens, but the owner had taken extra steps to keep us warm. It's nice to have access to extra towels, blankets, plenty of throws, and other amenities. We had our daughter's wedding there -- just family -- and Scott bent over backward to help us. The property is a short drive to Cooperstown, even though the area is rural, which is itself a real treat! We hope to come back at a warmer time to explore the immediate vicinity and the town.

Stayed Jul 31, 2024We stayed 6 nights at this property for a Cooperstown tourney. There are definite pros and cons so be informed before you go. Pros: Scott and his dog are great. Scott had great, quick communication with us and is a great guy! We went for a baseball tournament and the house is conveniently located close to the field- just a short drive. The house has all of the necessities (plates, glasses, pans, toilet paper etc) Bed was decently comfortable with clean sheets. Cons: The house itself is over 150 years old. It is what you would imagine for a house this old: creaky, Strange layout, dusty. The lights aren’t all on your typical switches. Some you twist on right by the bulb and some rooms had lamps. While the house has AC, it is not central AC, it is in window ac and one room has just fans (with the smaller beds). The fan blew bugs in. The upstairs bathroom which is small had over 7 mirrors in it. It felt like a lot. We did not use the bathtub/shower upstairs, we only used the shower downstairs which is more modern. There is a washer and drier, but you will need to connect with the owner to get the padlock code to the room since it will be locked. The house is connected in a hallway to a little cottage on the side, with a locking door in between. We were unaware of this so when we heard a TV through the door, it was unexpected. After contacting Scott, he promptly clarified that someone else was renting that part. Overall, it wasn’t worth the high cost but ok

Stayed Jun 19, 2024We (a group of parents) stayed here for weeklong Cooperstown tourney. The place was perfect for our needs (clean 3 BR; 2 BA; large kitchen with lots of cookware, etc). Our host Scott was great and communicated well. Very easy access/short drive to Dreams Park and downtown. Price was reasonable and in line with other properties we looked at. I highly recommend it.

Stayed Jun 13, 2024Our family stayed at Star Field Farmhouse during a Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament. It was a 15 minute drive to Dreams Park and a 10 minute drive to downtown Cooperstown. We had more than enough room for our family of 5. Scott and Shug were fabulous hosts and check in/check out was super easy. Would highly recommmend!
