Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year at Family Anchor. Over all we were very happy with our stay and the condition of the property. The inside was very clean. The master bedroom and bathroom were very nice. The double bed and one of the queen beds needs to be replaced. The front porch and walkways are in need of minor repairs and paint. I would stay at the property again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have vacationed in many homes over the last 40 years and I must say this is the most well built home we have stayed in. Unfortunately our week was during a tropical storm but besides the rain hitting the side of the house you wouldn’t have known it. We loved that if you were beside or below another room you couldn’t hear anyone else. We can only assume they insulated the floors and the inside walls. It was great! The home was well stocked and we loved that there was satellite on the living room TV for us to watch local channels for all the tornado warnings 😭🤦‍♀️ my only recommendation would be to update the mattresses on the queen bedrooms. They were not the most comfortable! We are hoping for better weather next year! We will be back!

Reviewer Comments: Family Anchor is the most comfortable vacation home we have rented, and there have been many. Bathrooms and TVs for every bedroom were much appreciated by our group of 6 adults and two children, as was the elevator. The view of the ocean was good and proximity to the beach was excellent. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dishes, which was great since we ate in most nights. Parking space was ample. We had no need to contact the property manager. The only amenities that might have made it better would be fewer bunks and one more king bed.

This time we had both children and families visit for part of our stay, so the 5 bedrooms were a great fit.

Overall our stay here was fine. We enjoyed our vacation at topsail like we have for many years. Upon arriving at the property, we discovered that the elevator was not working, the oven was unable to be used, & a whole room was completely missed upon cleaning. After I called, we were told we were sent an email about the broken elevator, but it was sent only 3 hours before check in. They did send out a lady to clean the room that was missed & did bring us a countertop oven halfway through our stay with a gift card for our inconvenience which was nice. We feel landmark can work on customer communication overall. We understand things break & are not always working properly, but it would have been nice to receive a phone call before our checkin rather than an e-mail that wasn’t even seen. We still enjoyed our week & were able to look past the things that went wrong, but just beware of the contract you sign upon booking!

The view of the ocean was very nice for a Lot B location and the covered front porch was a big plus. My one criticism of the furniture would be the white metal frame bunk bed. The bed squeaked really bad every time you moved and would wake everyone in the room. I would definitely stay at this location again.
