My sister and I enjoyed everything about this home but especially the view and the private pool.

Perfection! Absolutely as described. The hosts are top notch, great with communication and ensuring their guests have everything they need for a perfect stay. We fished off the dock in back and caught mangrove snapper, tarpon, and a couple of mackarel. The location is beautiful! You absolutely can not go wrong renting this home.

This was an amazing stay. The owners went over and above helping us out. I can't wait to book again (or possibly the new house he's building!)

We have stayed at this property or the sister house on multiple occasions. The house is always spotless clean and wonderful. The location could not be better. We look forward to staying here year after year. The owners are also amazing and easy to work with. We appreciate how responsive they are.

Property had many amenities and we enjoyed the location. Close to everything but still felt quiet. Pool was a great temperature and we used it!!

My wife and I stayed here for the month of February. The house and it’s location are top notch. What should be highlighted are the amazing views of Atlantic Ocean from the front of house. We woke up early most mornings to watch the amazing sunrises and watch all the ocean birds. This home has lots of room for your boat and it’s got a very nice pool. Steve was super responsive to any questions or requests. We highly recommend staying at this house!!!

We had eight nights here in January after seeing in the new year in Miami. It’s a beautiful place, the hosts are really helpful and communicative, the property is lovely and we had a really great time there! The front of the house has superb views, open to the sea, with pelicans diving into the water. My favourite spot was a bench at the front, sheltered from the breeze with a cup of coffee catching up on a few e-mails etc. The inside of the house is is very spacious, plenty of seating, including the lovely sun room at the front. The hosts made sure the property was well stocked with towels, linen etc and plenty of helpful information. There are lots of good restaurants in Marathon, most probably involve a drive but they are worth it and the local seafood is predictably excellent! Plaza Grill was also a particular favourite! Even when the temperatures dropped at the end of the holiday, there were some good sheltered spots around the pool to enjoy the sunshine. All in all a lovely trip and a property I would definitely recommend. Many thanks to the hosts Steve and Janet for a really lovely break!

Our stay at Sombrero Sunset was everything you could ask for. Great location a few blocks off the main highway in Marathon so easy access to not only all the great things in Marathon, but an easy drive south to Key West, and north to Islamorada. Marathon is the perfect location to explore the entire Keys. The property is amazing. In the back is a canal and this property has over 100 feet of docking space for a boat or your private fishing grounds. There were always Mangrove Snapper, Barracuda, Lady fish, Jack Crevalle, grunts and even some snook cruising around. High tide its about 8 feet deep, low about 6 feet. Plenty of chairs, lounge chairs and a patio table with a patio door right into the dining area. Also a gas grill. The pool was a very comfy temp and easy access to get in. In general, the grounds are spotless. Inside, spotless as well. Everything is perfect. Two nice showers, one tub. A large living room, formal dining room, casual dining room off the kitchen, and a great kitchen that is fully stocked. The bedrooms are huge. Beds were great. Nothing in this rental is old or neglected. Having a nice washer and dryer is so handy. They even have a fish and bait freezer in the laundry room. The front of the property is a bay where you will see amazing sun rises. You can fish there too. Its a grass flat bay that attracts a lot of bait along with Jacks, Cuda, snook and some juvenile Tarpon. Bring fishing tackle! This place is amazing!

This home was amazing! It was incredibly clean. Beds were super comfy, kitchen was fully stocked for us and so were the bathrooms. The pool was super clean and so much fun. This location is absolutely perfect. You are very secluded in many ways from others and at the end of the inlet. At night, you will not be disappointed in viewing all the stars and just the perfect views all around. There were 4 adults and we hated to leave it. I cannot encourage you enough to stay here. It is centrally located in Marathon too. We played up and down the Keys and this was so easy to access with it being so central. Thank you for having such a wonderful place to be. We will be back for sure!!! Only suggestion...yoga mats!! :) I could not find one on the entire Key. Amazing spot for yoga in the early am. Sun comes right up on you. WONDERFUL!!!

This property (and the managers/owners) was so amazing that I didn't want to leave this review because I want the property to be available for us next time we plan a trip to the Florida Keys, but we can't stop talking about how great this property really is. First, it's right on the ocean, has its own private dock for our boat, a private swimming pool, and a large lot to park our boat trailer. The managers/owners are meticulously organized and everything we needed for a pleasant stay was available to us. The beds were comfortable and the full size kitchen had everything we needed to cook most of our food right there. I could go on and on about how great this made our trip, but when we plan to return next year we are (selfishly) hoping that this unknown secret doesn't get too exposed as we want to keep using this as our own little slice of paradise every year. Well worth what we paid and are egar to return.
