Stayed Sep 19, 2025Kitchens Beach House is perfect for our large family. I had four sons, their wives and 7 grandchildren along with a nanny for a week. The huge kitchen, walk in pantry, 3 refrigerators and a wet bar/coffee area are key. The porches are amazing. I love the charm of an old house with modern amenities. That each of the 9 bedrooms has it's own bath is amazing for an older beach house. The TV room being away from the main living area was perfect for when the little ones wanted to watch without disturbing anyone else.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Having owned a property at Debordieu for over 29 years, I have been part of a group that has rented this house for a week in the fall, for a special occasion over the last 35 years or so. The size the amenities, the kitchen, the two dishwashers and two refrigerator-freezers make this the only choice for a large family or a group of 12 or more friends.

Stayed Oct 5, 2023We absolutely loved everything about this home!! You can definitely tell it is well loved by a precious family! There were six of us, friends since Highschool or earlier and this was our yearly get together! We each had a wonderful bedroom and bathroom, something much desired at our age, all over 70. This was truly one of the most well stocked homes we've ever rented, supplies galore which was very unexpected from the information given us as to what would be provided. We will definitely be renting this wonderful home again!!!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our group of 14 friends has stayed at Kitchens Beach for 21 years and have loved it but for the last 3 years we've brought your attention to the oven that takes forever to cook our dinners. It heated up this year but all of the appliances need to updated - especially the stove top and ovens. When I called to book the house last year, I asked about fire wood and was told to buy it. We bought 2 packs and also brought a lot from our home. We built a fire and once again smoke filled the house - even in our closets. The maintenance guys were there bc we did not have hot water. The breaker had tripped and by the evening we had plenty of hot water. When they reported the smoke we were told that we could not use the fireplace and that the owner was working on the repair of it. Last year as we were leaving, Sally Wrenn, told you that the house filled up with smoke but apparently the owner did not repair it. As you can imagine, our group was very upset that we could not use the fireplace since we had all the wood we brought with us and since that is why we go there in the winter!! This is so dangerous that the owner hasn't repaired the fireplace. Also, when we went to use the dishwasher to the left of the sink, it had no power. Once again, it was the breaker. We were also very surprised to be charged $125 for early entry?? How many rentals do you have in February? That fee should have been waived - especially since we paid $400 for the guys to play golf both days. Most of our group raised our kids at the original Kitchens house that burned down and this house every summer since 1987. Please contact the owner and get the fireplace issue resolved. Thank you

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our group of 12 golfers and fishermen from Columbia and Greenville have been staying in the Kiltchen's beach house the third week in October every year since 1979. We made it through hurricane Hugo in 1989, and when the former house burned on the vacant lot beside us we begin staying in the house that we enjoy so much now.It is perfect for us because of the huge kitchen, two dishwashers, two refrigerators and freezers and plenty of room for us to spread out. I was ready to reserve it for another year but now that your policy has changed in that you want 25% instead of the usual $250 just to hold it until the spring, I am reluctant to do that. Please let me know if anything changes.
