Stayed Jan 31, 2025This place is amazing and exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of reality. The house has everything you need with a great layout and the flow between indoor and outdoor living is awesome. At Your Table (personal chef service) was the perfect add-on to make our time extra special. Kyala did meal preparation right in our villa and made sure we always had fresh, healthy and delicious options available. She had great communication and willing to go above and beyond to meet personal needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Also, big shout out to Janet for taking great care of us during our stay. We can’t wait to come back and see more of this beautiful country. Pura Vida

Stayed Apr 29, 2022Check in was fairly easy although we had trouble finding the place exactly until we met caretaker at the entrance. The toaster and blender were broken. The shower had no glass door, so there was a bit of a mess in the bathroom. The showers didn’t drain well , and stayed wet all day .The hammocks were not functional as both had tares in them. A few of the ceiling fans in the main room didn’t work. There was no tile or granite in the whole house and was inexpensively built. For a place that’s in Costa rica that costs that much I’d expect some tile and granite. When we arrived the pool wasn’t clean , but there was a pool skimmer there so my father and I cleaned the pool ourselves. The stove top controls were stripped and didn’t work properly , we told the caretaker and she did her best to file it down and glue it on… it took her about 30 minutes to fix it , and it still didn’t work . So we spent 30 minutes of our time waiting to cook dinner while she attempted to fix the control knobs. The caretaker and cleaners came by to clean the place and my Mom was extremely sick, we told them we didn’t need bedroom cleaned. We had no mess in the place at all as we weren’t even there but for one day so far, we were set to cook dinner on the grill and have some privacy, but they cleaned the whole place and swept and mopped taking 2 hr when we were leaving in the morning and trying to enjoy our dinner and privacy. Even spraying bug poison around house and back sliding doors..should’ve waited to clean in the am. when they finished, the pool guy showed up to clean After we already cleaned it ourselves twice the day before and that morning! Why wasn’t pool clean before we arrived?! He was there for 30min, this was right during sunset . My father and I were sitting at the pool trying to meditate and have privacy. There aren’t any laundry facilities as specified on website. There are machines but it’s for the caretaker and maid only . They stay locked up. The caretaker was out front taking and doing laundry all day long. So we never ever had any privacy at all in the place. It rained at night the first night and we noticed how clogged the gutters were as they were overflowing with water in various areas. The morning of our first and only full day there , I was laying out at the pool trying to relax after I had to clean the pool myself , then the neighbor across the street started playing their drums extremely loud and for hours too, so no relaxation for me!

Stayed Apr 1, 2022We spent 2 weeks at the sunset house, was a bit challenging to find but once you get your bearings you appreciate the location. You will need a car or atv while staying here. The beach is a 9 min drive from the place and there are 2-3 restaurateurs near the beach that we visited. It's about 15 mins to Santa Teresa or about 20 mins to the center of town. Everything you need is on the 4km strip from Santa Teresa to El Carmen. The town is filled with restaurants, bars, groceries stores etc. It can get loud in certain areas which makes the sunset house a great escape but close enough to enjoy the amenities. There were a few issues during our stay which are common in Costa Rica with power or water outages but the property manager Soraya is fantastic and the cleaner Janice who lives on the property is great. The view makes any issues no big deal. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed Apr 15, 2022The property location was about 15 min from town which we did learn to love! The communication with the property manager was great and the daily cleaner was a treat. However, we showed up for our honeymoon on our first night and the place was infested with bugs. They are attracted to light so it made night time really uncomfortable to be at the place. For as much as we paid to stay for 5 nights, we expected to spend a couple evenings at our place cooking dinner and that did not happen. I understand we’re in the rainforest where bugs are prevalent but they were everywhere inside the bedrooms and it truly made my time less enjoyable.

Stayed Feb 17, 2022Absolutely stunning home with a BEAUTIFUL view! The property manager was incredible. After getting lost (GPS stopped working) Soraya was kind enough to send someone to personally guide us to the home as it was after dark. Janet the housekeeper was amazing. Our two young boys loved her and Tuko the dog! We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, beautiful home to stay at while in Santa Teresa. Thank you again!

Stayed Mar 6, 2022Amazing experience. Property manager and groundskeeper went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Only caveat is the proximity to what I assume is another rental on the property. It might be 10’ away. We had no issues, but could be a problem with loud guests. Great place overall and would/will stay here again.

Stayed Jan 15, 2022The home is clean and open. Janet did an awesome job with daily cleaning and answering any questions as did the property manager. Definitely need a 4x4. The beach at Manzanillo is a great beach for running and walking. Santa Theresa has a lot of restaurants and shopping but can be really busy.
