Splendid view of the bay and an amazing pool onsite

This is a fantastic property. The view is exceptional listening to the waves crash on the shore is a real trip. This is our second trip and I love this place.

Paul was a nice host & made everything easy for us. Location was wonderful with easy access to the bay. Pool was great & view was stunning! Quiet neighborhood with amenities nearby. It was nice to have a small well stocked kitchen and outside grill. The addition of a single induction burner would have been helpful & made a big difference for us.We will be back & hope to see you again next year Paul!

Paul is an amazing host, very generous, thoughtful, and accommodating. This was our 5th time vacationing in Hawaii, and Paul’s property was by far the BEST! Super clean, comfortable, private, and well appointed. We loved the fish shaped pool, perfectly clean and well-maintained. The ocean view was breathtaking. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! We would love to stay here again.

The location was beautiful and my husband and I were excited to stay at a place with its own pool. Unfortunately, the host was not friendly or welcoming from the start and then accused us of lying when we had to leave 1-day early due to an infestation of bugs (large cockroaches, large ants, millipedes). I pointed out to the host that the screens on most of the doors/windows had various holes, but that was ignored and I was accused of leaving the screen doors open, even though we were diligent about closing them immediately upon entering/exiting. I also pointed out that the valance on the blinds broke off when I opened the blinds and then later was faulted for that, even though the blinds were old and loose. I was insulted via personal text messages and told I was a liar. The host was the actual liar and tried to gaslight me when I shared a photo of a large cockroach we caught in the room (one of several). He called the cockroach a beetle (a Kona Cruiser) and said they were nothing to worry about. I have never been accused of lying or received rude messages from a host for simply pointing out needed repairs and an obvious bug problem. Also, the hosts left very religious media (dvds/books) in the room that were homophobic and intolerant of diverse beliefs. The place would be great with a different host and much-needed repairs. This stay really affected us mentally for some time afterwards and put a damper on our time in Hawaii. Guests beware.

The ocean was visible from the room. You could hear the ocean! Paul and his wife were great host! I would stay there again.

Paul’s place on the Big Island is beautiful. The pool and the patio were great! It was nice to have laundry facilities as well. We had a very nice stay.

The property is unusual and extraordinary. You have access to a private backyard, pool and spa, shared only with a second rental unit. The backyard has ocean views and multiple lounge chairs and tables. The location is walking distance to the outrigger hotel and the main area where the Fairwind and Manta Ray snorkel cruisers leave. Great place to stay, relax and enjoy the best of the Big Island.

The property is in a lovely location where you can sit and watch the ocean waves, as well as hear them during the quiet evening. A very relaxing locale.

This is our FIFTH year here and we love it just as much every time. Paul is a great host and his property is a little piece of paradise.

Perfect rental for two! Awesome pool & deep hot tub with amazing ocean view. Excellent location with grocery, coffee shops & restaurant all in walking distance. Peaceful relaxation in a clean & comfortable space with private entrance & parking right out front. Good temperature in this downstairs unit with just the fan going, no AC needed. Lots of thoughtful touches…beach towels, cooler, umbrella, guide book, etc. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Paul is a superb host. He is very pleasant and accommodating. The suite is comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The tuna shaped pool is delightful and the view of the ocean can’t be beat.

Such a beautiful house and area . Close to the dock , you’ll definitely need to rent a car, you will drive all over to see the sights ! The cute couple are so nice and very accommodating!

The suite was as described, which was the perfect size for the two of us. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was beautiful, and the walk to the beach just took several minutes. I would highly recommend water shoes once you get to the beach, as the shore is very rocky. Paul was very communicative and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Such a beautiful place to stay and we will book again.

Had a great time. The accommodations where better than expected and our hosts where great. Would highly recommend and plan on returning at some time in the future if we can.

check-in very easy, communication with host seamless before and during. Kitchen is very well-stocked! Bed very comfortable. The yard and pool was even better than we had hoped - it's absolutely beautiful. Peaceful and quiet, very private. We LIVED on the shaded lanai looking out at the bay

Beautiful view, pool, near by beach and suite. The location was spot on, near a gas station, pharmacy, great food options, etc. Paul was great, couldn't have asked for a better host. 5/5! We visited Hawaii for our honeymoon and to make it short we were not tired of it by the end. Book the trip.

We had a pleasant and quiet stay. Our suite was one of two offered by the owner, but the other one wasn’t occupied, so we had the pool and the hot tub to ourselves. The location was convenient, offering a nice view of the bay and ocean, plus convenient access to a local grocery store and shopping center. The owner, who lives on the property, courteously checked in on our welfare, but was otherwise unobtrusive. We would be happy to return here another time.

Very clean and comfortable, close-in but with solitude, fantastic view. Overlooks Heeia Bay which is virtually a wildlife refuge. Paul has supplied several conveniences - beach chairs, beach towels, portable cooler, binoculars. No stove/oven, but we made do easily with the grill and microwave. Never turned on the air-conditioning - ceiling fans worked great. Delightful stay.

The setting facing the ocean with an expansive lawn and pool was fabulous. I fine location for a couple.

Perfect little home pad for our stay on the Big Island. Paul was amazing with communication and the property was delightful. Pool and hot tub were just the extra touch to a yard that provided the most amazing views! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Accommodation’s were top notch! Shopping and restaurants close by along with snorkeling and manta ray tours right around the corner. The pool and grounds were impressive with unbeatable views of H-bay. Well worth the price and Paul was a wonderful host!

We have stayed in the East and this time around, the West suite. No difference and the view and its surroundings are exactly the same and truly stunning.There is some needed updates of the kitchen utensils but this is not as important. Paul and Kay is a very thoughughtful host and we value their hospitality and accommodation. It is a perfect place to those who wish to claim peace and treasure God's wonderful creations. This is our 4th year staying at Paul’s place. If you’re looking for the in town party scene this is not your place. If you are looking for peace and quiet with easy access to everything don’t pass this place by.

Great property with a view and a pool in a quiet neighborhood

Paul and Kay are very gracious hosts. Their property has a gorgeous view, a large fish shaped pool, and is immaculate. We will definitely stay again!
