Host went above and beyond what we needed. Place was awesome and relaxing. Parking was great we had enough parking for 4 vehicles with trailers

We enjoyed the comfortable, homey feel of the cabin. It was great to have two options for fire building. We chose the fireplace in the living room and could relax in the chairs to enjoy the fire. Very nicely appointed kitchen with more supplies than what we have rncountered at other rentals. Plenty of game opportunities in the lower living room area.It was nice to look out on the lake from many different rooms. Hope to return in the future!

The house was very clean and extremely comfortable. The views were majestic with the foliage and potato lake. My friends and I loved the game room and all the amenities. Tina, our host was very helpful and responsive to any of my questions. Definitely recommend staying there and will stay there again when we come back. 5 star experience!

Beautiful, peaceful location.

This cabin was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed playing the games they provided, i.e. ping pong, billiards, darts and shuffleboard. The outdoor fire pit area is wonderful. The lake is great for kayaking.

Had an absolute blast. Cabin was clean and there was so many included activities.

Had an excellent stay!! Awesome hosts! They thought of everything. We really appreciated all the small details and games and the fire pit area. It was the perfect place for our extended family and would definitely come back!!

The place is exactly like the pictures. Not a cobweb in site. Lots of room and so many accommodations as small as mugs in the freezers down stairs and bartender tools to make drinks. Plenty of furniture in all the rooms. Furniture is all very comfy. We were on a girls weekend of adult moms but this would be amazing for families also!

We had 4 adults, 3 teens and a 5 year old and everyone had plenty to do. We played yard games (and basement games: ping pong, pool, shuffle board), we sat out on the deck, the pier, around the fire pit. And when others went to sleep you could relax in the basement and watch some tv. The cabin was very clean and spacious, located right on the lake far away from any traffic. The lake is great for kayaking as it isn’t busy, and we saw lots of eagles and loons. Water was a bit murky for swimming. Overall and amazing cabin and a great place to relax.

Towering Oaks Lodge was just perfect for our family gathering. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was certainly well appointed with everything we needed to provide meals for a group of 9. Two refrigerators is a bonus. The interior is quintessential cabin! Tina was a great host, answering all queries in record time. We were especially happy to get information on where to put our boat in. Game room was fantastic for the morning it rained and kayaks were used multiple times. And of course you have to have S'mores around the fire pit! Guests just need to be aware that there are quite a few steps down to the lake...great for a workout but perhaps a bit many for some people. We had a wonderful time and are glad the hosts share their beautiful property!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin is clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked as is the family area. The fishing was great, caught some nice size walleyes off the dock. Tina, the host was super helpful and was available to answer questions.

Everything went great! Check in process was easy, and the cabin looked exactly like the pictures. Also, great communication throughout!

Tina was a great host, made sure we checked in and made sure we had everything we needed, even weeks before trip. Went with 4 guys for fishing trip, lots of space for cooking, hanging out and sleeping. Cabin was amazing. We been doing this for 10 yrs and this was best cabin and lake, so great we already booked for next yr. Fishing was awesome, even being hot out. Caught over 50 bass and even my 1st walleye. Thanks so much for a great vacation

The place is exactly as listed and then some. There is so much space and so many beds that you can bring a whole crew and be comfortable!As of June of 2025, the AC is not working, so just keep that in mind. They are apparently fighting with insurance to get it repaired, but were very accommodating and installed a window unit for us to keep it comfortable during a heat wave.The team is incredibly responsive. They got back to me within 30 minutes any time I messaged them.Highly recommend!

A Perfect Getaway for Our Multigenerational Family – with a Surprise Ending! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Towering Oaks! The home was spotless and beautifully maintained. The linens were soft and cozy, and there were plenty of fresh towels for everyone. Our group included grandparents, adult children, and adult grandkids—and there was something for everyone to enjoy.The downstairs space was a favorite with all its entertainment options, and the fire pit area was the perfect place to gather each evening with gorgeous lake views. We caught loads of fish right off the dock and really appreciated the convenience of the fish cleaning shack. The kayaks were clean and in great shape—so fun to paddle around the peaceful lake.The setting itself was beautiful and tranquil, and we even took a fun day trip to nearby Chetek. And to top it all off—the oldest grandson proposed on the lake… and she said yes! It was truly a memorable stay in every way.Highly recommend Towering Oaks for families looking to relax, reconnect, and make unforgettable memories.

This is a great place to stay!!! Fishing was good and people on lake were very friendly. House was great and kids loved running up and down steps to lake and activities inside. Would definitely recommend.

I brought 9 friends and family to stay two nights just to relax and have some fun. It’s a big place with plenty of seating and room for a big group. The view of the lake is beautiful the neighborhood seems quiet. We all enjoyed our stay

This rental exceeded our expectations. Setting, cabin interior, communication with owner, and items provided for stay. All you need to bring is a few groceries (milk, bread, coffee, etc.). The lower level has a great set-up with a small kitchen, sitting area, ping pong/pool table, and shuffleboard. Wood was provided in the fireplace, along with paper and kindling. Wood was also provided in the firepit outside. Had a small problem with the thermostat and the owner addressed it immediately. We would definitely stay again.

Tina and Paul’s home was just the best. We loved the lake access, all the games available, and the quiet area. We so appreciated the hammock on their deck as well :). They’ve got the place stocked and there is ample room to hang out! We’ll definitely be back again!

Our stay was just what we wanted! The hosts were great! Our teens were definitely occupied with fishing, boating and games in basement! Our only wish was that there wasn't so many stairs as our family loves to fish but the rest was perfect!

We gathered our children and grandchildren for a six day stay away from many distractions. We all enjoyed mornings on the deck, a pontoon ride on Potato Lake and sitting around the fire pit. The younger generation kayaked, paddle boarded and fished. All in all a warm, wonderful time.

Property was very peaceful. Hostess was very attentive and answered text messages quickly. Beds were very comfy. House was clean. Updates were very nice - fire pit and new deck over-looking the lake - very nice! Game room was great too. We could not get the TV to work and some of the doors need a little WD-40! It was hard not to open main bathroom door or main floor patio door without waking someone (we have some early risers in our family). Frig door doesn't close completely without some extra attention - which is hard to remember sometimes! Stairs to the lake are probably more than some could comfortably do - so something to be aware of. There isn't air conditioning that is advertised - although there is a unit outside (just out of order right now) so if air is a deal breaker for you - keep that in mind to double check if it's working or not. We didn't have terribly hot evenings so slept very comfortably. Over-all - I think for a new VRBO set up - these guys are doing great and with the updates they have already made - it's definitely a place to check out! Very quiet and peaceful. We spent a day on Lake Chetek - where we rented a pontoon for the day - that was also great and highly recommended. Thanks Tina and crew for your hospitality.

We had a great time at the cabin! The area is beautiful and secluded. The cabin is located about 15 minutes away from town. We had kids ranging from 8-15 and they all enjoyed themselves with kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing outside and billiards, ping pong and games inside.

There was plenty of room for everyone and all the games we could ask for. Place was nice and clean, we were able to rent a pontoon on our last day to see the whole lake!

Perfect space to stay with extended family (6 adults, 3 kids). Loved all the things to do with the downtime - hammock, pool and darts downstairs, kayaks and paddle boards. While technically we could swim at the beach, it was more mucky/weedy than sandy. The house was super clean and cozy and stayed cool even on hot days. Hosts were fantastic communicators. Great weekend in the woods. was

Tina was wonderful to work with. Booking was easy and her notes were great in helping find local food and entertainment. The cabin was fantastic with great views of the lake and plenty of room for our group of 6. Would definitely recommend!
