Stayed Jul 12, 2025Overall, the property was very nice. There were a lot of nice spaces for our family to spread out . The kids love the arcade options as well as being able to play ping pong. Plenty of full bathrooms. There was a bag of beach towels provided. The Murphy bed in the basement was a queen and was comfortable. We appreciated the assortment of dishes available in the kitchen to use. Our only major disappointment was with the groundskeeping. There was significant visible poison ivy growing around the sports court and outdoor grill. This made those areas unusable for us, as we had lots of young children. Some of the yard was clearly spongy from animals tunneling. There was significant greenery above and around the outdoor fireplace which was a fire hazard.

Stayed Jun 16, 2025From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special. The home is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly suited for a group — whether you're lounging by the firepit, enjoying coffee on the deck, or cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen, every detail has been considered. The bedrooms are comfortable and private, the common areas are open and welcoming, and the entire property radiates a sense of peace and seclusion. We never once felt cramped, and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax and recharge. The surrounding woods are stunning — it truly lives up to the name Serenity Woods. Morning walks, evening stargazing, and everything in between felt like a retreat from everyday life. The hosts were incredibly responsive, helpful, and made us feel right at home. We’re already talking about coming back — it’s rare to find a place that fits a big group so comfortably while still feeling luxurious and tranquil. Highly, highly recommend. 10/10.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house and property are very large and can comfortably accommodate a large group. The fireplace outside was really nice to have and the movie room is a great bonus too. We've stayed twice now and would recommend it.

Stayed Oct 9, 2024The house was very spacious. The grandkids and adults loved the hot tub, all the tv’s, basketball court, and the fire pits. The lawn was plenty big enough for the grandkids to run around. We would definitely rent this house again.

Stayed Sep 19, 2024Had relatives from 5 states converge for a wedding celebration late September. Property was great arrangement presenting multiple sleeping arrangements and diverse recreational activities. Could spend time with family for cards, games or hot tubbing. Quite time on the patio or multiple balconies was also a treat.

Stayed Jul 5, 2024My grandson’s assessment was perhaps a little over the top, but this is a home with plenty of space for our 15 people. There were adequate kitchen utensils, dishes and pans, two refrigerators and two stoves with ovens. We were especially happy that all of us could sit in the extended dining area, although often some people would choose to eat on the pretty patio. The home is on a quiet, large secluded lot, and there is a court suitable for basketball, tennis, or pickleball. We were all fans of the beaches and dunes, but also spent some time wandering through a market and art fair in St. Joseph.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was very large and comfortable and homey. We played pickleball and basketball on the tennis court. The garage had a large workout area complete with rubber mats on the floor. The hot tub area was very relaxing and enjoyable. All the beds are comfortable and allowed us to get a good night's rest. The kitchen was well-stocked and had two large side-by-side stove/ovens. The grandkids enjoyed the waterfall and small pond complete with croaking frogs. We were there for only a week but feel like we crammed a month of fun into that week.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house was perfect for our family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out and all of the amenities we could want and need. The littles had plenty of room inside and out to play. The frogs were a special attraction :). The playground and sports court got lots of use. We grilled as well as use dhte fireplace out back for smores. There was plenty of room for story, preparing and eating food during ours tay. We found everything to be clean. The location of the house was great - off the beaten path but close to the beaches and lots of great places to eat.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a fantastic family getaway at this home. It is nicely updated, very spacious, and the outdoor back patio area was great. We had a ton of fun on the basketball court playing many outdoor games. The kitchen was great to make big meals in. There is NO shortage of refrigerator space, and the ice maker in the coffee bar area was great. It is not officially a 7 bedroom home though, it has only 6 bedrooms. The murphy bed in the theater must be what they are counting as a 7th. It is at most 10 minutes from downtown and the beach, 5 minutes from several grocery stores, and not far from Warren Dunes, which had a nice beach that was less crowded. Overall we would definitely stay again, and hope to soon!
