Very nice home in the woods. Three nice bedrooms, two living rooms, a nice kitchen and a really big TV! I enjoyed watching Netflix. The home seems brand new. Plush new carpets, remodeled bathrooms, and everything is nice, not run down like so many rentals. The keypad lock on the front door was a bit sketchy, but Rafael was able to remotely get it to work. Great property and great host!!!!! I will try to stay there again next time I am in Indian River

House does NOT have air conditioning, may not be an issue most times of the year, but it sucked for us. They never said it has ac, but they also do not make renters aware of this when looking/booking. We would have never chose to stay at this house if we had known it. Also, they really need to invest in an exterminator, ants EVERYWHERE, inside and out. There is definitely potential here, they just need to spend some money to make it better.

Our party of 4 young elders found this Spacious Home completely comfortable. The house is nicely decorated and well planned, with the living spaces somewhat separated from the bedrooms. The inside of the house was sparkling clean. I gave the overall cleanliness 4 stars because their was a fair amount of cobwebs and accumulated dust on the outside of the casement windows. Please note that was on the outside since this style window cranks out to open. The location is remote as stated in the description. We found the neighborhood quiet and enjoyed watching the chickens residing across the street. One night I did hear the sounds of vehicles on the interstate but still slept comfortably. The enormous kitchen was a welcome sight. We were happy to find both a drip and a pod style coffee maker, with plenty of pods available. We did make breakfast everyday. There was a variety of cooking pots and utensils available. And an extravagant selection of mugs and glasses. The host, Rafael, was attentive. Indian River is a small town. We enjoyed eating at The Station @310 (8-10 minute drive) and ice cream across the street from The Station. Ken's Fresh Market was a pleasant surprise, well stocked and reasonably priced (12 minute drive from house). There was also a Dollar General a short walk (.5 miles??) or even shorter drive, that we chose not to patronize. Mackinaw City and the Mackinaw Bridge is a 30 minute, easy drive. I would definitely stay at this Spacious Home again!

It was what we needed. We have a daughter on the lake so we did not need to be on the lake. Came back each day to a very restful place. It was more than stocked with anything we needed.

3 good sized bedrooms located away from the main dining and kitchen so it was easy to put the kids to bed and then have space to stay up as adults. Huge kitchen, great for cooking in, had everything we needed! Laundry in the unit was a great opportunity to wash clothes during the halfway point of our driving trip. All appliances worked well, beds were comfy, bedding was comfy, bathrooms were cleaned and perfectly stocked. Big living room gave the kids space to spread out and enjoy the games that were in the living room. I would definitely stay at this place again and would recommend it to anyone in the area! Also, the decor in the house was so cute and such a friendly, inviting touch.

This was amazing! It was quaint yet spacious. Super clean. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. Quiet. Amazing night sky filled with stars. Also, not far from many great destinations, Mackinac City, Petoski, Onaway, Charlevoix, etc., all within 30 min to an hour drive. First time an owner has put drinks in the fridge and told to help ourself. New cases of beer, seltzers and Coke. The furniture and beds were comfortable as well. It was a perfect stay also because my fiancé and I got engaged on this trip as well under the Mack bridge. All in all 10/10. Recommended to others and would stay again.
