After staying at 2 different vacation rentals during a relative’s lengthy stay at Barnes-Jewish hospital, this home was a refuge. Everything works! The floors are level, the interior doors close! (Just to point to issues we encountered at other VRBO listings we stayed at, where photos didn’t capture such issues).Maravilla 1 is CLEAN, and properly maintained. There is room to spread out and spaces to gather. It was easy to check in and check out. When I needed to contact the owner/ manager, she was readily available and attended to a minor issue immediately. The bathrooms are nice and there is plenty of hot water! The beds are comfortable and there are warm blankets. Two of the rooms have televisions. The down stairs bedroom is a bright cheery space! It’s a great home for families of all ages. The carport and back yard are nice spaces to congregate in warmer months.

We stayed at this property as a family of four adults and three 2-year-old children for a trip to the zoo. The home’s open floor plan was perfect for the little ones to explore safely and interact with each other, which made our time indoors enjoyable and stress-free.The separate living area in the basement was a great bonus, providing additional space for part of the family to relax and unwind without disturbing the rest of the group. The location is ideal—very close to the zoo, which made getting there with young children easy and convenient.Overall, we had a good experience at this property. However, we did note that there was no backyard area for the kids to play in, and the front yard grass hadn’t been cut before we arrived. Yard service came early—around 8AM—on our departure day to take care of it, which wasn’t ideal timing.Despite that, the home met our needs and made for a comfortable and convenient family getaway.

Liz is a wonderful host. She communicated everything in a very timely manner. The house was as pictured and very clean. The beds were comfortable and TVs were great. Appliances were very clean. It was hot when we arrived so very much appreciated the AC being on, which worked great the whole trip. The house is on a quiet street and neighbors were quiet. I walked my dog several times a day thru the neighborhood and it was quiet and safe. We ate at Felix Pizza and Seamus McDaniels and both were good. The only minor thing about the area is that they are still cleaning up from the tornado in May so lots of tree limbs around. My recommendation for the house would be landscaping, although the house is on par with many in the area in that regard. The yard is small and functional for the dog, but not much else. Also, there is no access from the house to the yard directly, so you have to go outside and open the yard gate to let the dog in and out. Overall, a very nice experience and a very nice host.

The house was in a very quiet neighborhood and was mostly clean. The basement bedroom had some spiderwebs around the windows that the cleaning crew missed, but we used the provided vacuum to take care of that. The tub and shower were both fairly slick and there are no grab bars. We had handicapped people with us, so that was difficult. The toiletries provided in the bathrooms were great. Overall, the house met our needs and was as advertised. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the kitchen was great. I would definitely stay there again when in town.

This was a great place for our little family getaway. we came to visit some friends and check out the zoo and museums and this place was in a prime location. the neighborhood was nice and easy to navigate. The home itself was just like the pictures and clean. When i booked i didn't request any baby amenities but they were already there so that was a nice plus. One note is that we came on a week that the temperature changed pretty dramatically and while the heat worked very well it would have been nice if there were extra blankets or even throw blankets for lounging. we also never did find an oven mitt. these are things that weren't a huge deal but

This property came as advertised. I was not let down in any way. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood, it was clean, and the communication with the owner was outstanding. My dog was allowed to stay in the home. There is a very small fenced in back yard which was nice. All in all I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

Our intergenerational group very much enjoyed this home. The two sets adult enjoyed the respective space of the first floor master and basement suite. We used the game console, enjoyed meals and card games at the dining table and slept comfortably in the memory foam mattresses. It seemed all as if all of our destinations were no more than 15-20 minutes away, so the destination couldnt be more convenient and the neighborhood quiet. We were glad to have brought sound machines to muffle some of the noise between the three first floor bedrooms being close to one another and the hardwood floor being a little bit squeaky. The kitchen supplies sufficed but we also werent doing major meal preparation either. Great spot!

Everything about the home was as described in the listing- modest clean home. having two different living areas and large dining table as well as a table & chairs outside made for comfortable downtime when we were there. Enjoyed walking around the Dogtown neighborhood which was new to us. The real star is the easy access to zoo, Forest Park, Botanical Gardens and downtown attractions. Would definitely stay here again.
