Stayed Jul 26, 2025Great location. Easy walk into town. Manageable walk with luggage to/from Steamship Ferry. House has plenty of space for 5. If you like older, historic homes, this is a great fit. Reasonably accessible to a couple of bike paths, though a bit challenging to get to the ones on the other side of town (e.g., Polpis Road path). House is well-stocked. Host is responsive. Overall, we had a great stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Pure Heaven!! Annie's home is the quintessential Nantucket stay! A charming historic whaling captain's home built in 1807, with the authentic antique look and feel of this iconic era on this very special island. There are four cozy bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor with a stately dining room with antique furniture, three fireplaces, a cozy den for reading or a cocktail...or two, a small powder room and a formal living room on the first floor. Open the windows as the sea breeze wafts the herbs and spices of a home cooked meal in a large eat-in kitchen as you converse with your loved ones. Alternatively, walk your lobsta outside and dine al fresco in the adjacent charming garden. Annie's home is a 2-3 block short stroll to town which allows you to experience a quick bagel before the kids get up, buy some food at market, or shop without a hassle. An easy bike ride and you are at the best beaches on the island. Annie's family has been on Nantucket for generations and she is a gracious well-bred host and she is very willing to work with you for any special requests. You can't go wrong here, but please leave me a week in August !!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Such good memories from staying here. Lobster feasts, friendship bracelets, boat fishing for bluefish, smoking and then eating the bluefish, shopping at the cute shops in town, bike riding to the sailboats, driving to and hanging out at the beach, and, of course, going to the bars in town at night! Thank you so much Annie for such an amazing week!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I returned to this Nantucket house for the 4th year in a row and look forward to my 5th! A gorgeous historic house set very close to downtown and the harbor. Wonderfully maintained property with enough space for myself and my friends. Even a lovely garden, perfect for an afternoon cocktail. I highly recommend this spot for a summer getaway!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I have stayed in this house many times, and each visit was perfect and memorable. None more so than my honeymoon! The house breathes Nantucket history, and its simple charms surround and soothe. It manages to be large and cozy at the same time--neat trick. It's centrally located, an easy walk from everything town has to offer, but it also feels in a world of its own, a quiet corner of one of the most special places on earth. The yard is private and a rare amenity.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house is in the most perfect location with a beautiful private garden that is quite large. The home is charming and there is a feel that you are back in time, in a lovely, quiet, sweet world where everything works. It has lots of bathrooms and a three entrances which makes a house-sharing vacation ideal for quiet early morning exits and late night entrances. I love coming to this house for over 10 years. I feel at home and on vacation immediately.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Been an 8 Westminster visitor several times in late August. Perfectly located on a quiet street a few blocks from town, this charming, deeply-loved house creates indelible memories: mornings waking up to a house full of guests and days full of fun; afternoons at the beach or in town window-shopping or exploring the marina; cocktails at dusk in the gracious backyard; bike rides to pick up steamed lobsters for dinner; evening dinners with great company and conversations; short walks after dinner to stand in line for ice cream. Quintessential timeless summer experiences.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you're looking for something glitzy and new, this isn't the house for you. But if you want to feel as though you're part of generations of summer holiday-makers on the Far Away Island, then this might be the house for you. This historic house is comfortable (photos are accurate) and the kitchen works well -- we prepared multiple meals for 6-8 people, and then enjoyed them by candlelight in the dining room. The garden is a very pleasant place to gather and read or talk or even dine outside. Walk one block and you're downtown -- near multiple restaurants and shops -- perfect for window-shopping or actually stimulating the economy. Bike another few blocks and you're at Jettie's Beach. This house is well situated -- it's not necessary to have a car to take advantage of the many pleasure of Nantucket. The owner clearly takes great care of the house, and I would certainly recommend it to a friend or relative.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I rented 8 Westminster for one week last August to host our closest family and friends as we celebrated our wedding. We held the ceremony and the reception in the garden, with the beautiful grey shingled house as the backdrop. It was the perfect setting to gather our nearest and dearest to celebrate our big day. The location is PERFECT, just one block from the bustling town where restaurants, boutiques, and ice cream shops await. It's also biking distance from many of the beaches and sights (our favorites were Surfside Beach, the Cisco Brewery Tour, and the Whaling Museum). The house itself offers loads- history, character, plenty of space...a peaceful and quiet getaway. We loved gathering around the kitchen table for coffee and goodies from the Nantucket Bakeshop, and enjoyed many big family dinners in the spacious garden with fresh local produce from the Bartlett Farm Truck. The owner was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process as well as during our rental. Her love for the house is evident in the careful maintenance of such a lovely historic home. We HIGHLY recommend this properly for an authentic and personal Nantucket experience. We have such special memories from our time in the house, and I know you will too.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This lovely home exudes the true charm and history of Nantucket while being comfortable and a great place to relax and enjoy your time on the island. The big kitchen is great for large informal meals and cooking with friends while there are plenty of places throughout the house to put up your feet and relax. The garden is beautiful too.
