Spacious canal home w/ private dock, outdoor pool, hot tub & amazing views

The place was not well maintained but it didn't entirely interrupt our stay. As soon as I opened the door, I saw how dirty the walls were. Excessively dirty. There were so many things that were not working properly and broken. The outside fridge smelled of fish. Hot tub had jets broken and not enough water in it. There was also no clean drinking water. Pool had debris and outside space seemed to not have been touched or maintained in some time (cobwebs, tiki bar discheveled, sand in the washer and dryer, dirty fridge/freezer, just to name some). No trash bags or more than 1 toilet paper roll in the spaces. No response from VRBO communication. Only communication is through VACASA who then shared the messaged with the owner. It did the job, but not at all what I expected for the time we were staying there.

Nice home- however, for the price- needs some updating..Lovely home- fairly clean- spotless kitchen.We had 1 major safety concern, and several annoying maintenance items. But- with plenty of room for our family & friends.I really felt like there should be duvets- that can easily be cleaned and changed with each set of guests. The mattress and pillows- were no where close to the quality we all had in our homes... The pool was nice- hot tub jets were not all working- and seemed to be lacking some chemicals.... There was a nice starter kit of dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, but no all purpose cleaner, no hot pads and no dishcloths or rags.

This was the perfect house for our family Thanksgiving. We especially appreciated the two big tables with the kitchen between them.

We loved the location of the house. A short walk to the beach. The canal in the back gave our kids and grand kids some fun times with fishing.

So much room! This house can easily accommodate a large group. Just a very short walk to beach access, and the view off the back porch is beautiful. The only negative I have is that we weren’t given access to control the thermostats. It’s fine for April, but would be a little warmer than we like in Summer.

We just spent the week at this home as our extended family get together. The house was well equipped and most things were in working order and up to date. There are a wide range of appliances available for use so we ate in often. I appreciated how the appliances ranged from older and simple to newer and more high tech. Made it easy for our entire party to be able to prepare meals with things they are comfortable with. The outside looked dirty and a simple pressure wash would present a more positive first look but that had zero effect on our fun time during the week! We didn't have a boat and only one fisherman so the easy access to the dock and bay behind us was wasted on us but would be an amazing opportunity for a family who likes to spend time there as well as the ocean. All in all - definitely 5 stars.

House was great! 2 big tables. We used one for puzzles and games and one for dining. Our only comment is the nonstick pots and pans are quite scratched up and need to be tossed out and replaced. Otherwise terrific!

Home needs some updates. Neither the grill or broiler worked on last evening. broken chairs need to be removed. But, in spite of these things our group enjoyed our time together.
