Spacious and comfortable country house with private swimming pool (2 to 8 prs)

We have had an absolutely wonderful, idyllic stay at this property and have loved eveey second of it!We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, ages 12 and 7) and stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August.The property is perfect - the photographs do not do it justice at all! Exceptionally clean, very well stocked kitchen with everything we needed, lots of toys and games for all the family including board games, ping pong and volleyball/badminton. The beds were very comfortable and the outside space was fantastic for relaxing of an evening - it's a huge space! The outdoor cooking facilities were brilliant and all the outaide furniture was comfy and well maintianed with plenty of umbrellas. The pool was perfect- wonderful to cool down in, fantastic size, very well maintained.Also the air con was a welcome addition!The location of the property is so relaxing and tranquil- close enough to everything! Bergerac only 20 mins away, big supermarkets at Bergerac or Vergt ans a fantastic little Cocci Market just 5 mins away. Close enough to all of the big attractions- we did Sarlat, Lascaux Caves, The Musee de Prehistoire, Roque St Christophe, the Aquarium and Univerland aa well aa an abundance of Châteaux and wineries.And finally, our hosts - Dominique et Annie - absolutely wonderful people! Very helpful and kind, always quick to help and very knowledgeable about the area.We have had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone! Thank you so much for a wonderful 2 weeks xx

A beautiful property in a great location.

Lovely property set in a rural farming hamlet. Peaceful and quiet. We spent most of the fortnight outside in the courtyard area and in particular early afternoons reading in the under cover seating/dining area and the cooking in the outside kitchen. The pool was so welcoming in 35 degree temperatures and was probably the best we have experienced in all our stays in France. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a great holiday. Beds were so comfortable that we were often 'late risers' ( well later than we would be at home - 5.30am).Dominique and Annie could not have been anymore helpful and available if we had any questions. Despite our language difficulties, we got by with just a little help from a couple of translations apps! An added bonus was the small village supermarket 5 minutes drive away, that stocked virtually everything we needed between supermarket shops 20 minutes drive away in Bergerac.All in all a really lovely holiday and I would thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy rural France..

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Les Masseries! The owners were very friendly and helpful during check-in and sent messages to inquire about our stay and that all was going well. The swimming pool was delightful during the sunny afternoons and the accommodations were very comfortable and relaxing.

Amazing property with first class facilities. Very well equipped and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything. Their communication was excellent. The pool and outdoor seating area is very private. The location is only a 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket, in rural France. It is about 20 minutes to Bergerac. If anything the description does not do the property justice. Our stay was very relaxing, and we are already looking forward to staying again next year.

Fantastic property, it has everything you need and more. The outside space is amazing, everthing for everyone to enjoy and keep occupied. The area if so quiet with stunning views. Dominque and Annie were so helpful and were in hand if needed. This property is of a very high standard all round. We enjoyed visiting Bordeaux, Perigord, Sarlat, Bergerac and the Monbazillac Castle.

An excellent gite in a great location. This traditional gite has been well converted and thoughtfully laid out and well equipped. The pool and the outside space (with external cooking facilites) was excellent and well positioned for a full day of sun. There is a large garden area for playing games or just sitting about. The gite was immaculately clean and well presented. Annie and Dominique were great hosts, they were attentive but discreet and full of help and advice. The gite is in a quiet rural location; perfect to get away from day to day life, but close enough to Bergerac (about 15 minutes drive). The Dordogne is our favourite part of France and we would happily return here again. Thank you Annie and Dominique for your part in providing us with a great holiday.

The property was excellent with the large court yard, swimming pool and large seating and rest areas. Next door to two farms that were so helpful and kind to the family showing them the farm yard animals. This made the holiday for the under 2 year old. Sitting out in the courtyard every night and day even when it was raining. The outside garden was very large and prefect play area.

Overall we were very pleased with the house. Everything was clean, tidy and kitchen very well equipped. Bit disappointed that the second bathroom was a hand basin and shower in the dormitory upstairs bedroom, with only a 3 fold freestanding screen for the shower. We coped as 2 couples with this but a larger group of adults would have struggled with privacy. Everything else - pool, games, garden furniture, quiet location where absolutely perfect.
