Stayed Dec 23, 2025This was the best rental we've ever stayed at. The kitchen was spacious and above-and-beyond equipped for a full day of cooking for a Christmas meal with extended family. Kate was quick to respond to questions and a gracious host, and we're very happy to have found this house for the holiday!

Stayed Dec 2, 2025We loved our stay at this urban sanctuary in Oakland! The house was comfy and just right for our needs. Great communication with hosts, who were very responsive and friendly. Check-in was super smooth and easy, and there were thorough instructions posted inside the house for stay logistics and checkout process.The house itself has many unique architectural flourishes that I loved — stained glass windows on built-in cupboards, Japanese-style paper and wood window shades, lots of windows with natural light filtering in through the beautiful trees outside. The house has that wonderful sturdy, warm, lived-in feeling that only houses from that era have, which I loved.The kitchen and dining room were spacious and well-equipped with all the essentials we needed, which was great for cooking family meals during our stay. The living room had plenty of comfy seating and cozy lighting for us to hang out and spend some quality time relaxing.It was a nice quiet 10-minute walk to the nearby shopping district with restaurants, coffee shops, nail salons and a little supermarket, which had cute neighborhoody vibes.This would be a great option for a longer-term stay as well, as there’s plenty of storage space. I would definitely stay here again!
