South Venice Pool Home - 5 miles to Beaches

Unfortunately, the house was dirty and we had to clean the entire house including the patio.We had to buy our own cleaning supplies like ant traps, pool shock.We had to replace filters, and we had to clean out the pool fliter because it was so dirty as well as the vacuum cleaner.We tried calling the first day we got there but no one returned our call, we called a couple days later and finally was able to speak with someone.We had to plastic forks because with a household of 8 there was not enough for the entire fanily. We were unable to grill due to there was no propane, and we did not want to spend even more money.We were unable to use the garage because the door didn't properly work and didn't get fixed until the end of our trip.

House was clean, spacious, stocked w/necessities and great location. They just need to have a better situation for the trash cans [enclosed area to keep critters out] and the pool pump needs replaced. Also some more lighting in pool area and rugs would have been good. lighting on the pool deck would of been good.

The Host did not provide code to access the house timely despite sending messages through VRBO. Had to call the Host 40 minutes prior to our arrival on Host Cell phone and left a voice mail advising still haven't received the code to get into the house. Upon arriving the grass was extremely tall, garbage was at the road; garbage was inside the garage and not taken care of. The pool was a mess. Not cleaned in many days, black debris all over the concrete; the screen surrounding the pool hadn't been cleaned either from debris from the surrounding trees, cobwebs. The pool solar cover was wadded up and placed next to the pool in a walkway area and had a sufficient amount of water that had been in it for days; other items were in the corner that had been deflated along with older hoses for the pool, testing kit in the window, got black stuff all over your feet and anything that you put on the concrete, pool area was a complete mess; the back yard that was fenced in was a mess also, extremely tall grass, unkept area for patio table and chairs. Contacted Host regarding the grass and pool. We were requested to take photos and send to the host in addition the Host said It was supposed to be clean few days ago. I'll get someone out there tomorrow. A lady showed up only skimmed the top of the water and left. Contacted Host again regarding the broken glass, pool still not clean

The house had everything we needed, very clean, very spacious, the outside pool area is big enough for 6-8 people easy. Also a great house if you have a pet, fenced in back yard with plenty of space for you pup to run around. Doggy beach is also about a 5-7 min drive away. Stores and restaurants within 5 min drive. Nice and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again if ever in Venice. Thank you so much to the host!

Great time and perfect location

It advertised a pool but pool was in no condition to be used. Covered and dirty. We were hoping to use throughout our time in Venice. Outside patio near pool was not too clean. Patio Chairs, etc. Instructions for trash not too clear.
