This house was beautiful! Lovely views of the sound from every floor, set back from Highway 12 so you couldn't see or hear traffic. Very comfortable and peaceful!

Exceptional home with nice architectural detail nestled in a live oak grove with its own private sound-side beach. We loved the privacy and surrounding forest. Interiors are beautiful. It was great being close to Cape Hatteras, lighthouse, trails, beaches, and orv roads. Sunsets and kayaking from private beach, where we spent a lot of time floating around in the sound and reading. Exceptional!

The house is beautiful. The only negative I can think of is the pots and pans have been used hard - not the owner’s fault. There is a big selection of them but you can tell they have been used over the years. The location is amazing. You don’t always find a sound front house with a beac area

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Stars On The Water and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. After over 20 years of renting different beach houses, this one stands out as one of my favorites, and I’m already planning my return. One of the first things that struck me was how comfortable the beds were. It’s often hit or miss with rental properties, but this house exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of natural light filtering through the windows, making for a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The open concept design upstairs is perfect for gathering with family or friends, offering plenty of space to relax, cook, and dine together. Speaking of cooking, the kitchen is fantastic, equipped with modern appliances that made meal prep a breeze. Whether you’re making a quick breakfast or a full dinner, you’ll find everything you need here. Another thoughtful touch was the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided in the bathrooms, along with high-quality towels and linens. These small details really enhance the overall comfort and convenience of the stay. The only minor downside was that the trees around the property partially blocked some of the views. However, this was a small trade-off for the privacy and serene surroundings they offered. The outdoor spaces, including the decks, still provided plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fresh ocean air and the sound of the waves. Overall, Stars On The Water is a gem in the OBX rental market. From the spacious rooms to the modern amenities and thoughtful touches, it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a top-notch vacation spot. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy another stay at this fantastic property. Highly recommended!

Large and spacious home for 2 families. Caveat: we spent A LOT of time at the house due to Hurricane Debby. Loved the ground floor kitchen and rec space. Hot tub was well maintained…we used it nearly every day. The main level kitchen is so spacious and very well stocked with cooking items! Large dining/living room area made it easy to congregate. Loved the location…easy to get to Avon or Hatteras. Would stay here again!

Loved the privacy this home provides. The home has a nice private beach on the sound directly behind it. Well equipped kitchen with plenty to place settings, glassware, cookware, and small appliances like blender, mixer, toaster. There were four of us, but this house has ample room for up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms.

The home and ammenities were as described. To me the house needs a little work and upkeep. There were storms the week prior to our visit and there were several screens that were blown out and hanging. The patio area needed to be cleaned as well. Most everything was covered with leaves and needed to be blown off. Finally, the hot tub wasn't working properly, only a few of the jets worked althought the water was nice and warm as to be expected.

The house was very well appointed. It was quiet which we loved. nice sound access. But only about half of the jets in the hot tub worked. Let VACASA know, but no one ever came to check on it. For a house that rents for over $5K per week I expect certain things.
