Sophia&daphne - New Cozy Beach House

Charming rural villa, off the beaten track, quiet and lovely 500m to the beach, wonderful hospitable and generous hosts welcomed us with bounty of local produce from the Mani. We very much hope to come back another time.

We had another lovely holiday, our third year, at this beautiful villa within walking distance of the beach and a wonderful restaurant. Kostas, Villy and Sonia looked after our every need. Lovely personal touches made the holiday memorable.

Our second visit to this beautiful property. The facilities are excellent, the garden charming and full of olive trees that provide shade, the beach and sea a five minute walk away. And there are tavernas within walking distance. I expect we will return again. Thank you.

We had a spectacular 2-week stay at Sophia and Daphne! Everything was exactly as described. In all the years I have rented vacation properties, this house is the most thoughtfully designed of all. Clearly, their architect knew what they were doing. The home is relatively new but really has the feel of a typical area stone home. Lily and Kostas were so welcoming (I loved their home made jams and wine and watermelon that greeted us) and they were available le and responsive throughout the entire booking and rental process. We loved the 3 bathrooms (one for each bedroom), the AC when it was hot, and all of the items in the fully equipped kitchen. Malsova (on the edge of Ag. Nicholas) is quiet and the water is so close. We swam several times a day! Finally, we have never had mid week cleaning before - what an incredible luxury! We come to Mani as often as we can (my wife's family is from the area) and this is the best property we have ever rented. We will definitely rent again when we return. Thanks for such a perfect stay!

The house was just as described and perfect for three adults wanting their own rooms with the added attraction of three bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Welcoming touches included olive oil, jams, coffee and tea and shower gels and much more. Konstantinos was there to greet us, Villy was at the end of the phone and Sonia came to do the cleaning. A small point for consideration is the rather limited storage for clothes etc in the bedrooms. We enjoyed breakfast and other meals under the olive trees in the garden, walked to the beach and taverna 5 minutes away or ate in Agios Nikolaos, a pleasant 30 minute walk away. We visited a couple of other beaches and some villages in the mountains but mostly we just relaxed and enjoyed the tranquil setting. We will be back.

We loved the house “Sophia & Daphne” from the beginning. It is a really beautifully built stone house with amazing details. The place is very quiet but only 5 minutes walk down to the beach with a beach tavern and another good restaurant nearby. Very comfortable for us were the three separated lovingly furnished bedrooms with small but very functional bathrooms. The well equipped kitchen – living room is inviting, the illumination in the evening nice and cosy. We enjoyed also the perfect cleaning every three days, the fresh towels and sheets. We loved to have our breakfast and sometimes dinner at the nice table under olive trees in the garden. The roof terrace was wonderful for doing Yoga, for watching the sunset or for only relaxing.

The house was beautiful, really well equipped, tastefully designed and furnished. It was also really comfortable with great places to sit and the beds were really nice with lovely cotton sheets. From the roof terrace you can star gaze at night and have great views of the the sea, which is a short walk away - just a few minutes. We ate dinner in the village every night - great choice, wonderful hospitality and only a five minute walk along the sea. Getting to the house was really easy and Villy was really prompt and helpful in all her communications, we will certainly return as it really was idyllic. I feel in love with Greece all over again!

The house had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped. We liked the location, in the middle of very old olive trees, a few minutes walk from the beach and a restaurant. The region is beautiful and not yet spoiled by too many tourists. We made short trips into the mountains and longer trips to old Messinia and Cape Tenaro, the most southerly point of the Mani. The rest of the time we relaxed in the quiet garden and at night we watched the stars sitting on the roofterrace.

We absolutely loved this really well presented and spotless villa with great attention to detail. Extremely well equipped with quality bed linen, towels etc.which are changed twice weekly. Set in lovely garden for relaxing and eating under the olive trees. The roof terrace was a favourite with views to the sea in the daytime and stargazing in the late evening. Villy provides so many nice touches - jams, honey, olive oil. She also kept in touch with us during our stay to make sure there were no problems which might spoil our stay at Sophia and Daphne. Thank you Villy and family for letting us stay in your fabulous house. We found everything we needed, and were generally very comfortable. The local area was exactly as described – the house is in a fantastic position, walking distance to a lovely beach and taverna, and a short bike ride away from the idyllic fishing village of Agios Nikolaos. The Mani coast is stunning, and has a lovely laid back atmosphere. The perfect holiday destination... We loved it all!
