Stayed Nov 24, 2021We so enjoyed our stay. A short drive to Sonoma Plaza, and a nice location to Wineries both north and south of Sonoma, and even to Napa. The home is very comfortable and backyard is an oasis. Prospective renters should be aware that while the online listing specifies bathroom 2 has a toilet and shower, it is actually a half bath (toilet only) and the 2nd shower is an outdoor shower. This detail is apparently listed in the description. We made it work for our family and the charm of the home and backyard outweighed the slight inconvenience.

Stayed Oct 30, 2021We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. Great gardens, well-appointed kitchen, cozy fireplace. It was a delight to be able to sit outside and watch the frenzy of beautiful hummingbirds at the feeders set amongst the roses, zinnias, and dahlias. Location was quiet and provided easy access to explore the wine regions of Sonoma, Napa, and Lodi.

Stayed Oct 7, 2021Absolute gem. Morning coffee in the garden with the hummingbirds flitting about. Wish it was a week stay instead of the weekend.

Stayed Sep 30, 2021Things that had me worried were chickens and that one of the showers was outdoors. Chickens were penned up out of sight/out of mind and the outdoor shower was great! For the number of homes in the neighborhood the backyard was quite private and restful complete with hammock, fruit trees and garden. Worked out great for our family of 5 adults. We would stay there again if back in the area.

Stayed Sep 4, 2020Our family really enjoyed our stay here, the backyard is a beautiful place to relax. Rick communicated with us often, and checked in on us to make sure everything was going OK. It was nice to see a gift basket upon arriving as well! Highly recommended place

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The place was perfect. We loved the garden. Me, my 3 daughters and granddaughter went to explore Napa and Sonoma. It was close enough to a lot of great restaurants and to great wineries. Rick did an excellent job of making us feel welcome.

Stayed Dec 22, 2018This home is located in a very desired and established neighborhood with beautiful trees and a gorgeous hillside view in the back. The beds and seating arrangement were very comfortable. We cooked. We cooked a lot and found everything we needed (egg poacher, roasting pan, salad spinner, cast iron skillets, griddles and a gas grill outside). Rick left a lovely basket of goodies that we sure appreciated. Most important to us was being able to sit at an amble and sturdy table to play games and eat our meals. There were plenty of folding chairs to make sitting outside, inside, and around the sectional work well. We were lucky to spend some mornings outside on the patio and also enjoyed a real windy and rainy storm. We picked this place because we wanted our local son to be able to bring his dog and it all worked out so well to have the yard. They have beautiful chickens at the side of the house (that they fenced off with a portable fence because of our dog which I appreciated). I was absolutely charmed by the gas fireplace and the Christmas tree and decor. I could tell the homeowners loved their home and it was a perfect fit for our party of seven adults and a dog. Don't despair that there is one full bath and one half bathroom. The full bathroom is remodeled and we got in and out quickly. I would really rather have charm than spacious and soulless spaces, but I grew up in a family of seven with one bathroom that had only a clawfoot tub. We had a good meal our first night at El Molino Central where you order and eat outside. We enjoyed the smaller wineries about 4o minutes away - Wilson and Bella. We did go to Benziger which was so beautiful, but it was a rainy day and we didn't get to enjoy the beauty as much as we wanted to.
