Song Bird Hill vacation home is located just outside of Hill City on the Mickelson Trail 3 minutes to Hill City just a 1.5 miles from the Alpine Inn. This spacious open home offers 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with an amazing view of Black Elk Peak. The homes many extras for added enjoyment and usefulness include a pool table on the lower level with murphy bed and an office on the main floor. The ability to cook meals in the stocked kitchen and share time with family after a busy day of sightseeing is a bonus. Enjoy mornings or evenings on the deck or patio drinking coffee, wildlife viewing or watching the kids play in the large yard. There is plenty of parking and access to the garage for storing your bikes and other toys that you may bring with you for Black Hills vacation.

    Everything went smoothly from start to finish! There was so much great space in this house as well as a relaxing place to sit outside & enjoy the view of the Hills. We loved utilizing the kitchen & dining each morning. The access to the Mickelson Trail was a treasure! Hill City is our favorite area in the Black Hills, so I think we will be back!

    We had a nice stay at the property. We would have liked to spend more time in the basement but there was no heat. We tried to get the fireplace to light but was unable to figure it out. If i hade one suggestion it would be to update the living room furniture upstairs. would have been nice to have some recliners and more comfortable couches. All aside it was a nice place to stay. I would stay there again. Thanks

    We had three couples staying for 6 nights--great to have three bedrooms, 3 baths and a table we all could sit around and play cards/games. Enjoyed sitting on the front deck.

    Overall cleanliness is not horrible. This home has major neglect and lacks basic upkeep, small improvements, repairs, or updates. There is no evidence of professional or amateur pest control, yet there is evidence of established pests (reported). We rent owner properties in the Black Hills at least once per year, and hands down, this offers the least ROI. The dollars don't make sense, and the negative reviews about needing improvement are accurate, with the exception of the exterior stairs comments, which are more than obvious in the photos prior to booking. The property would be a consideration only if the nightly rate were lowered. Our recommendation is to enjoy an alternative property, as there are many amazing properties that are much better to choose from.

    This property is away from downtown and very pretty, spacious, and quiet. The house had everything you need like home. It also has a large patio in front which we enjoyed sitting on every evening. They also have a large patio with grill in the back out of the walkout basement that has a family room with large tv and pool table. My 2 sisters and I loved this property.
