It was a great get away for relaxing and taking in nature. Also was close to skiing and town.

Our stay was okay. Would choose somewhere a little more updated/nicer next time. It was pretty much a 30 minute drive to anywhere down the mountain you need to go.

One day was warm in the cabin. The air conditioning couldn't keep up. After that day, the weather cooled off and we were fine. The air conditioner could use a little upgrade.

I thought I would be able to see the mountains from the hot tub but it is on a lower deck. AC never really cools the place down. The view was great and enjoyed my stay. It was conveniently located for my trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Skyview cabin. The property matches its description. We really liked the quiet of this location, the outstanding view, and the hot tub. The property manager, Maggie Mountain Vacations, provides stellar service. I appreciate that they sent me some clothing I left on the premises.

Literally could not beat the view. Either from the back deck or the hotub. It was everything we expected and then some. Before we are arrived, we definitely stocked up on food/drinks, etc, which was a smart decision. The only thing I’d caution people is that the earlier reviews are very accurate. If the weather is bad, or if it snowed prior, the drive up to the property is definitely not recommended without 4WD or AWD. The town of Maggie valley is great, as well as waynesville. Be on the lookout for elk driving up, as we saw plenty climbing up the mountain. All in all, we will be back, either at this place or something similar.

My wife and I are exploring areas and lifestyles that we might want to retire to. The Skyline cabin was a dream get away for us and our two dogs. The views from the living area and balcony were breathtaking. It was very quiet and we only heard a few cars a day that passed by our driveway. The seclusion is what we were craving and knowing that someone was within a 1/4 mile was comforting. The cabin itself made us feel like we were in a 2nd home. It took our dogs some initial coaxing to get them up and down the spiral staircase but then no problem. We cooked several meals and took advantage of the satellite TV. The hot tub was nice too. Great location. We were there for 5 days and could’ve easily spent a month or more in the area. One of our main goals of the trip was to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. You could actually see the traffic in the evening from our balcony. It took less than 15 minutes out our door to get to the parkway. With Great Smokey Mountains to your west and Pisgah forest to the northeast; there is no shortage of outdoor activities. We did not spend much time in town but it had a few restaurants. Went to Waynesville for groceries. The spiral staircase and steepness of the property might make me hesitate to bring toddlers. Do pay attention to 4-wheel drive only. The last 100 yards of the driveway would be challenging otherwise. I highly recommend this cabin to any couple or family that does not have toddlers or babies.

The cabin and views were exactly as pictured. They are serious about the 4- wheel drive recommendation. Location was great. Rental staff advice for food was very helpful.

This property was absolutely perfect! It provided beautiful views of the mountain tops. It is secluded and quiet, and we could only hear the faint barking of a dog in the distance. The house has everything you would want for a nice, peaceful vacation. A full kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, and three sleeping spaces (2 bedrooms and 1 pullout couch). The spiral staircase is awesome also. While we had to carry our small (Mini Dachshunds) up and down the staircase for potty time, it was well worth it. Note: we were made aware of the spiral staircase when we reserved, so were very aware of what we we were walking in to with our small pups. This is no way changed our view of the property. Just be aware this is the only staircase and the only way from the living room/kitchen to the only door to go outside for potty time with dogs. The deck with hot tub also had a very nice view, even during the summer months. This was very surprising as we expected the trees to be full and block the views, but not at this property! There was plenty of firewood on the property also. Yes, we used the fireplace at night in the living room because the temperature dropped to the high 50's, low 60's and we were cold! We only left the property to walk/hike up and down the mountain with the pups daily and it was beautiful. I highly recommend this property if you want to have breathtaking views of Maggie Valley. We will be staying again in the near future.
