Welcome to Ski Bum Chalet! This remodeled and updated guest suite includes a private hot tub to enjoy with views of the Wasatch Mountain Range, a brand new kitchen with state of the art appliances, a brand new bathroom w/ a large shower, a private entrance, fast WiFi, and a foosball table. Being in the heart of Cottonwood Heights, we`re only 25-30 minutes to Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude, 35 minutes to Park City, 20 to downtown Salt Lake, 25 to the airport, and close to restaurants!<br>
Conveniently located 5 minutes from both Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon, our Ski Bum Chalet can get you to the world class resorts and within minutes. (Our record time is 25 min from door to chair lift). This 1,000 sq ft basement unit has one bedroom and one bathroom with a pullout sofa bed. Full sized washer and dryer in unit. A full kitchen and dining area, a foosball table, and the hot tub is also accessible.

Nearby resorts include Brighton, Solitude, Alta, and Snowbird. Easy access to Canyons, Park City, Deer Valley, Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Sundance. Downtown is 20 also minutes away.

Ski Bum Chalet is also located near the Recreation Center, which provides amenities such as gym, tennis court, and indoor/outdoor pool for $5/day.

Our guests are protected by the Waivo® damage protection program for accidental damages that occur up to $1,500 and this is included in the price of your reservation.

Waivo® Damage Waiver

If You have purchased a Waivo® Damage Waiver (“Waiver”) then the following terms and conditions are now part of Your vacation rental agreement.

AGREEMENT
On behalf of Alpenglow Property Rentals, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below up to $1,500, $2,000 and/or $3,000, the Waiver limit purchased by or for You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will reimburse the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $1,500, $2,000 and/or $3,000. This Waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance.


EXCLUSIONS
This Waiver will not reimburse for theft, or damages resulting from:
Acts of God
Prior damage, cosmetic damage, marring or normal wear and tear
Loss of use of the vacation rental property
Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
Damage to a motorized vehicle
Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
Consequential loss
This Waiver will not reimburse for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not reimburse for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, clogged plumbing, excess trash, laundering linens, spa/pool maintenance, landscaping, maintenance or mechanical breakdown.


III. CONDITIONS

Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the Waiver.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will reimburse for assembly of replacement furniture up to a maximum amount of $50.00 US Dollars.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage under $50 US Dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.


DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person You invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay.

    The host and facilities were great! My only suggestion is a light to illuminate the entry door in the wooden fence. In the dark it blends into the fence so well that it was challenging to find. The streetlight casts a shadow on the doorway, making it even tougher to locate for first time renters. It would be helpful to leave the exterior stairway light on when evening arrivals are expected. In the winter, this should be anytime after 4 pm.

    The room was clean. The host was helpful in helping us find the place. Hot tub was great! The only minor issues we had was the couch was a little older and slightly uncomfortable and we couldn’t control the temperature. Other than that, we recommend this stay!

    I would say overall it was about what I expected. Its a basement converted to be very accommodating for a long stay. It is in the mountains of Utah so you are gonna get a few uninvited guests of the insect family so if that isn't your thing keep that in mind. The only down side was at the end of my stay the folks upstairs did come home late and I could hear every step which did keep me awake which isnt ideal for an early flight out the next morning but again this is a basement and par for the course.

    Everything needed for a low frills location close to little cottonwood canyon for a 20 minute drive to Alta. It's a basement as advertised but not musty or shabby. Got excellent support from the owner. Close to ski rental shops and plenty of places to eat. Worked great for our long weekend.

    A simple, easy, no frills abode for ski bums. Really good for a couple (1bed). Spacious big room for everything else. Did not use the hot tub but looked hot and clean and ready to go. Place was clean.

    This space was great in the sense that it was clean, had a kitchen, and a super comfy bed. However, that is about it. The host was really nice and responds to messages quickly. The problem is the upstairs of the house is owned by someone else, and their tenants are super rowdy. Its clearly marked in the VRBO no parties, but the upstairs tenants were throwing a party the second night we were there. Whoever was staying upstairs was stomping around like crazy throughout the entire second and third night - midnight until nearly 5 AM. If you're used to that, then by all means it's a great place to stay. Just be aware. Also, just has really spotty cable and wifi. No streaming services.

    I needed a small place to stay that was close to where I was working. This place was great! It had everything I needed and was just as described. The shower is AMAZING! It was a little cold in the evenings and the heaters did just the trick! Drew was very prompt at responding to needs and requests. The neighborhood is great as well. I would definitely rent this place again and will refer friends.
