Description

58 km north of Rovaniemi, lake Alajärvi 30m (length 3 km, width 600 m), deep and partly also low shore, hard sand bottom, own rowing boat, jetty.

Planed log cottage, built in 2008. Living room-kitchen, bedroom with double bed (width 140 cm), another bedroom with sofa bed, sauna with electric stove, washroom / toilet, hall, open porch.

Cottage has got mechanical ventilation system, tv set and recordable digibox.

Lakeside sauna available from beginning of June till end of September. Wood-heated sauna stove with a water tank in steam room. Dressing room / living room in sauna building: wood-burning stove and convertible sofa for 2. Electric lighting, water to sauna by motor pump.

Summer kitchen by shore; gas cooker, gas grill and griddle pan. Campfire site.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sipukka. The place is as described, very homely and well equipped for a stay in the quiet, fresh air of Lapland. We took advantage of the saunas combined with dips in the lake, did yoga on the dock, used the boat with an electric engine for picnics on the lake and took strolls in the forests around to look for the many reindeer. They sometimes come for a visit to the property, too. It was super-relaxing and exactly as we hoped it would be.

Das kleine Häuschen liegt mitten in der Natur und das sorgt für absolute Stille. Die Schnee Schuhen und Schlitten, die vor Ort zur Verfügung standen konnten wir direkt auf dem verschneiten See und der Straße ausprobieren, einfach wundervoll.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Schnee in diesem ruhigen Ferienhaus direkt am See. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Everything was perfect with the cottage. We had a good communication with the owner in advance. They also give us the key on the airport so we had no effort. The location is easy to reach, cozy and calm. We like the sauna and the oven very much. Like to come back soon!
