We had the most amazing one night stay here! The place is stunning - great location, great price, comfortable beds, very clean and well stocked! The check-in was quick and easy. A huge thank you to the hosts for being so helpful and responsive. It was greatly appreciated!

Good location, quiet neighborhood that's a quick walk or lyft ride to shops and restaurants. The decor doesn't try to emulate the period that the house was built. Instead, it is just fun, with brightly colored accents and some of the coolest lighting fixtures and lamps I've seen! Also- they provide not just coffee, but also creamer! Conscientious host and communication excellent. Great location for walking to dinner and nightlife. Back bedroom bed very comfy. Only drawback (and this not the hosts fault) is renters above noisy—clomping back and forth, back and forth with what sounded like boots — and it was loud.What can you do?Next time we will ask for the upper rental but aside from that it was very good.

Steve is a wonderful owner. The Showstopper was was really cute. The place was immaculate, the kitchen was stocked with what we needed and the beds were comfortable. Steve was easy to communicate with and very prompt in answering any questions we had. We definitely would recommend staying here as we will likely do again next summer. And it is so close to all the action!

We stayed on the first floor of the home. The location was very close to downtown and the riverwalk. It was very clean, had lots of room and was nicely decorated. The kitchen had nice appliance and had plenty of tableware. Communication with the owner was great, he replied quickly and provided plenty of information. The only issue I had was hearing the people on the second floor. They were not doing anything to be loud, but the house is old and you can hear whenever they are walking and the had a pet so you could also hear it running around.

We were in town for a wedding and we needed a place to stay that was close to the venue. It was perfect for what we needed.

Overall I was impressed. The place was great, clean, easy to check in and there were no crazy clean up procedures. Great stay!

We only stayed a night but my family enjoyed our time at the house which was located on a quiet street. Rooms were spacious and welcoming. Thank you Steve!

The house is very nice, I liked that each bedroom has its own color theme. The kitchen is beautiful. I had a huge group of friends stay over and they thought it was very nice. I had a little trouble figuring out the ceiling fan in some of the rooms. Also be careful with the rugs because they are on top of wood floors and they like to move. The host is very communicative which was super helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at the “showstopper”. Everything about the house was wonderful and location could not have been better. We walked to several areas of Wilmington and always felt safe and had a blast.

What a beautiful property! We took a quick trip to Wilmington to tour the college and stumbled upon the gem on VRBO. I’m so glad we did! It was clean and spacious. You can tell this home is loved and well taken care of. We could walk downtown to the restaurants and shops in about 10 minutes. We will definitely be back!

We were in town one night for a wedding and needed a convenient place to stay within walking distance of the venue. This location was perfect and we loved having a parking spot instead of fighting for street parking. The hosts were very accommodating with our need for an earlier check in. If we ever needed a place to stay in Wilmington again we will definitely come back.

Came here with my husband when he wanted to take a fishing charter out of Wrightsville Beach with one of his friends. The area is very quiet and very close to the Riverwalk and local restaurants, boat rides, etc. Also appreciated that it is pet friendly. Steven the host is very accommodating and very quick to respond. Would highly recommend!

Outside yard needs a little work. There is some work being completed. Front door and bathroom door stick Threshold on back door is unattached. Interior is very well decorated and comfortable. Fantastic location. Close to Riverwalk. Unit has parking so we didn’t have to park on the street. Highly recommend!

House is located in the beautiful historic area of Wilmington. We loved reading the neighboring house historic plates as we walked downtown, super cute area!!

We stayed for a quick weekend trip with my family and the home is just as listed. It was clean and exactly like the pictures. The location is perfect to visit the battleship and other downtown locations with just a short drive. The beds were very comfortable. Will certainly stay again when we come to visit.

We loved staying at “the Marilyn”! The home is beautiful and the neighborhood is fantastic. Our host Steve went above and beyond to be an amazing host when I reached out about a very minor inconvenience. I cannot recommend this property - or this host - enough!!

As y first walk in everything matches what was seen online. Great place and location. Loved it

So I think I shorted my other review but my family and I stayed here for my daughter's 13th birthday the owners are so kind if you are thinking of booking this location do not hesitate! You are out of the hustle and bustle of the main town but close enough for the beaches and fishing and everything else the Riverwalk was gorgeous we managed to make it to three different areas in one day. The house itself is large beautifully decorated and in a wonderful neighborhood. A small fenced in area if you have puppies with you but also a gorgeous area to walk your dogs they're a little plaques around the neighborhood talking about the historic homes the home that we stayed in ourselves was over 100 years old historic Wilmington is just beyond gorgeous. The location has ample space we were actually able to book both the houses in the duplex which gave us full access to the whole building there's a gorgeous balcony upstairs and a wonderful swing set on the bottom porch loved every minute we were there my children were sad to leave! So grateful for the wonderful memories we were able to make due to this location will not hesitate at all to book again!

The neighborhood was very quiet and close to shopping. Not a long drive to get to the ocean for some sun. We enjoyed each day we were there.
