Shore Beats Work – Clock Out & Chill!

Our favorite part about this house was the really nice location and easy access to an uncrowded section of the beach. No nearby hotels or condos to compete for beach space. Just enough room for our family of 14. Living room area had plenty of seating where our family had fun playing games together. The large deck got plenty of use. Wished the kitchen was a little larger. We did a lot of cooking and brought a lot of supplies and had some trouble with storage space for everything we brought. Cleanliness was adequate, but could be improved. There was a mildew smell near the kitchen sink area from previous leaks under the sink. We called the property manager to have the master bathroom sink unclogged and it was taken care of immediately. Seems like the cleaning crew would have noticed the sink was completely clogged before we checked in. Overall we had a nice stay. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in their home.

We had such a wonderful time at Shore Beats Work! It's not directly on the ocean, but you still get a view from the decks and some of the windows. (My little kiddo loved to point at it.) And best of all, you don't have to cross a street to get to the beach! It's right beyond a row of houses that are on the same lot. (Note: There are steps to climb up and down for beach access. It's a little tough for wagons, but we managed.) This part of Topsail was very chill. We felt like we had plenty of room on the beach and things were relatively quiet during the day and night—great for the family. Check in and out was easy. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was plenty of parking—we got three cars in the garage. The hose under the deck was super helpful for sandy feet and beach toys. (We didn't even need the outdoor shower, though there is one there.) Overall, we would definitely recommend.

This house is nothing short of amazing. The location is good. The views of the ocean are beautiful. Access to the beach is easy. Parking is great. Kitchen is well stocked. I really have nothing bad to say. This is our second time staying here and we have rebooked for next year

My family usually vacations in the OBX. We were not able to find a rental there for this year. We looked at options for other places and found Topsail Beach. We stayed ate Shore Beats Work and we won’t go back to the OBX. This property was awesome. The beach was incredible and the view from the deck was worth our trip from Virginia. The people at Lewis Realty were great to work with.

The description says “stunning”. It is in no way shape or form even remotely related to stunning. The kitchen needs to be updated and is incredibly small and cramped and there is no place to store anything you bring except for a makeshift pantry in the breakfast/eating area. The microwave door handle is broken and the faucet has no pressure unless you pull it out and have it angled a certain way. VERY frustrating. Also, I had asked the question before our vacation if there was a crock pot and a grill there to help plan in packing. The property manager told me no to both. When we got there there were both at the house. That tells me that your property manager is not familiar with the property or the owner needs to update the information provided to the pm. The back door (which is the one you use all the time) gets stuck and locks you out frequently even if you just walk out on the deck. The outdoor shower does not drain properly and so was difficult to use unless you want to be standing in water. The blinds at the front door are broken. Not a huge deal but just something else that was wrong. The house just needs a good overhaul. It’s very worn and lots of small things that on their own are not so bad but everything together screams “fix me”. We have rented ALOT of beach houses through the years ……some great, some not so great but this one unfortunately, was a bust and that on top of the weather we had made for a not so great vacation.

It was our family's first trip to the beach and this house didn't disappoint. We really appreciated the deck and the proximity to the beach!

Best location on NTS! Quiet beach, friendly neighbors and amazing views! Highly recommend this home! Can't wait to go back again!

This is a great property, plenty big and just as described. We were quite close to the beach and there was plenty of beach to enjoy in June of 2021. Not much erosion at this end of the beach. We definitely recommend this to other groups!
