Shangri-La - Bahamas Tropical Beach Villa, Steps from Pink Sand Beach

We loved everything about the house and the beautiful artwork that was everywhere! The incredible trees and tropical plants on the property made it seem like our own little slice of paradise! Our hosts were fantastic and took great care of us! We loved the location and would definitely stay again!

Perfect layout for two or three couples or children. Beautiful upgraded bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and relaxing wrap around deck. Path leading to a beautiful beach…

We had an amazing time and loved the house. Super close to the beach and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We drove to different beaches every day and the location was perfect to explore the island. The only small issue was that the washer not working (not a deal breaker for a 8 night stay) and a super slow internet. Highly recommend!

Being within 5/10 minutes of Governors harbor, grocery stores, eateries and the airport made our travel so easy! The gated community made us feel safe and the location of the house on the quiet beach road makes it the perfect spot for solitude. It would also be a great house for children to play. You can’t see the ocean from the house but it’s just a short walk up a small hill. And the beach is beautiful! You can hear the sound of the ocean from the house which was relaxing. The beds were very comfortable with great quality sheets. The kitchen had everything we needed. The owner and caretaker were quick to answer any questions. Looking forward to another stay!

It has a laidback, island feel to it. It is very spacious both inside and outside. We were able to discover much of the island and different beaches - all beautiful. It is a peaceful island - most of the beaches we had to ourselves or only saw a couple of other people. We really appreciated being close to Governor's Harbour for groceries and trying out the different restaurants.The owner went out of her way to give us advice and answer questions - we greatly appreciated it!We would definitely recommend it !

The myriad ceiling fans were usually enough--we only turned the AC on to sleep. The house has a coffee maker and plenty of dishes. The knives in the kitchen do need to be sharpened. There are a million towels and pillows and linens to choose from. Driving thru 2 gates to get to the house made us feel safe. The cottage on site is clearly separated from the main house--plenty of privacy. We tried many other beaches but in the end the beach around the corner from this house was ideal: clean, empty, long and pink. The water was calm and clean and warm--so easy to bob around with a noodle and just talk. We saw turtles, rays and small sharks. The house had many beach chairs, noodles and an umbrella. The beach was ideal and lovely. We appreciated the outdoor shower after the beach. The insects are no joke so spray the second you step outside and reapply. We reported a few minor issues which were resolved quickly. I would stay here again--you won't find a nicer beach on Eleuthera.

Our neighbors were delightful and introduced us to the house and property. Lachadra, the property manager, was very helpful and welcoming. (We also rented a car from her company, Cadet Rentals, and were pleased.) Something to be aware of when you visit Eleuthera is that the power grid can be sketchy. We experienced several power outages during our time on the island--we had forgotten about this. We felt fortunate that the layout of the house was open and there were screen doors we could open for ventilation. We kept the bedroom doors closed so the cool air would not escape and this worked out well. I will admit to being a smidge jealous of another neighbor's generator. lol. The house was comfortable and exactly what we needed--highly recommended!

We had an issue with the washing machine and when I contacted the owner, she sent someone out the next day. Unfortunately the machine was not fixed but we had plenty of towels to use the rest of the week. The beach was just a short walk across the street and was stunning. I would stay here again!
