Great location between Salisbury and Great Barrington and walking distance to hiking trails. Nice sized home, kitchen and dining room for family meals.

If you want privacy and a tranquil location this is the place, but still close to many of the outdoor activities. Beautiful home with well equipped kitchen.

We had a wonderful time at the house. The owner Juergen was ideal to deal with, quick to respond and most hospitable. The house was roomy and clean and had every amenity needed including a turbo kitchen for any serious cook- and the area had numerous quality food options. Scenery was beautiful as we watched the leaves change colors. Only issue was the cold weather outside for us however sitting by the wood burning fireplace more than compensated and the heat in the house was fine. Tons of books of all types and most interesting and diverse artwork and artifacts. A great find.

We loved our stay at the Undermountain cottage in the woods. It’s a special place with lots of loving attention to detail. The house is both charming and spacious with a great kitchen and comfortable beds. Great hiking and biking and close enough to restaurants and shopping too. We will definitely be back.

As so many reviewers report, this is a very pleasant and beautifully decorated house. We found much to do in the region – many places to walk, some fascinating historical sites like the W.E.B. DuBois homesite, the River Walk in Great Barrington, several Trustees properties. Juergen offered many ideas for things to do and places to eat in the region.
