It is a spacious, relaxing home surrounded by palm trees and birdsong. A concrete boat ramp and Frothy Coffee Cafe (with boat hire) are just 20 metres away. Relax and enjoy the tree-studded,waterfront location. Watch the children playing in the well-equipped playground or relax on the balcony with views over the water as the sun is setting. Fish, kayak, picnic, explore the edges of the lake or swim within just a few level steps of the house.

Our home is pet friendly with a safe and securely fenced back yard (approx. 1 metre high). Please contact owner to make arrangements if you wish to bring your pets.

For bookings of up to 5 people you will have full access to the main house which has four bedrooms and one bathroom and one ensuite. For bookings of 6 or more people (up to a total of 11 guests) you will also have access to an additional bedroom/ensuite which is separate from the main house.

There are many beautiful local beaches stretching from Seal Rocks in the south to Seven Mile Beach in the north as well as some lovely National Parks which are all just a short drive away. The nearest surf beach is only 5 minutes away or you can paddle your kayak across the lake to the sandbar. The Pacific Palms area also has some lovely cafes/restaurants and nearby activities such as golf and tennis. It is a great place for families, friends and couples to relax right there or explore the beauty of the area.

The house has two storeys with balconies and water views from both levels. The main house has four queen size bedrooms, a bathroom downstairs and an ensuite upstairs. There is also a fifth queen bedroom with an ensuite (shower, basin, toilet) which is separate to the main house. The living and dining areas are at the front of the house downstairs. This is a large tiled open plan space with lots of windows and light-filled areas which provide privacy as well as gorgeous views across to the lake. There is a TV (with a built in slot for DVDs) in the lounge room as well as a collection of DVDs, books, board games for you and the children to enjoy.

For your comfort there is a reverse cycle air conditioner downstairs in the lounge/dining area. Each of the two upstairs bedrooms have an air conditioner and a ceiling fan. There are small fan heaters in the other bedrooms. During the winter months there are electric blankets on the beds.

The modern kitchen is clean and light with plenty of space to work if you like to cook up a storm. It is well-equipped with all the appliances you need. There is a full size 370 litre convertible refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen. There is a front loader washing machine, iron and ironing board also located in the laundry along with a spare gas bottle for the BBQ. There is also a dryer in the laundry but we do ask that you please make use of the clothes line outside and the clothes airers provided if you need them. There is seating for 10 at the extendable dining table and also a breakfast bar with seating for 3. Families with toddlers might like to use the children's table and toddler chairs for food as well as play.

There is a front verandah with bench seating and water views as well as an upstairs deck where you can relax and look across to the lake. The BBQ is in the back yard along with a wooden picnic table where family and friends can relax and enjoy a meal together. The picnic table is under cover and provides shade for outdoor dining or protection from the rain.

The four bedrooms in the main house all have queen size beds. The two bedrooms downstairs are smaller and would suit those in your group who may have difficulty with the stairs to the upper level. Access to the rear downstairs bedroom is through the bathroom or it has its own external doorway. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. One has a skylight as well as its own private covered balcony with views over the lake and park. There is also a sofa bed (comfortable for one person) and TV/DVD player in this room. The other upstairs bedroom has an ensuite and a narrow deck area.

There is a fifth bedroom outside, detached from the house and just a few steps from the back door. It has a queen bed and an ensuite. There is also a TV/DVD player for use with DVDs only as there is no free to air TV in this room. This detached bedroom may be suitable for teenagers or for those in your group who may wish to have more privacy.

We loved this place. It's a spacious, comfortable family home perfect for our extended family's getaway, perched on stunning Smith's Lake, across from a playground and park area. We had loads of fun utilising the kayaks that were included in the booking. Yvonne was a great host accommodating an extra guest at the last minute and helping us with the booking and any questions we had along the way. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Serenity.

We had a very relaxing break at Serendipity on Smiths Lake. We spent a lot of time at the lake as the weather was perfect. The Lake views from the upstairs balcony are magnificent. The home is very beautifully kept and self sufficient. Communication from the hosts was timely and helpful. I would love to visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at serendipity. We booked a family weekend (grandparents, siblings & our children), there was plenty of space for us all. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. The house was so well equipped for children with unexpected inclusions, like porta cots, high chairs, baby gates, children cutlery, and games. This made our stay with young children so easy. The location was beautiful, a leafy neighbourhood, with the park and lake at your doorstep. Would definitely recommend!

House was perfect for us. Young children had easy access to playground and lake. Smiths Lake is a beautiful part of the world and Serendipity was a lovely place to experience the area. The house was as described and had everything we could have possibly wanted/needed during our 7 night stay. What worked really well for us was the accessibility. I broke my foot a week before the trip and was on crutches and a knee scooter. Having a downstairs bedroom and same level access to back verandah made life easier for me during the stay. I did need to navigate 3 steps at front of property but managed to do that on crutches without breaking the other foot! While I could not access the downstairs shower as it has a step into it ( doubles as small bath for kids which was great) I was still able to keep clean with sponge baths! And if I really wanted a shower there is a cold water shower out front that I could have used without an issue.Communication with Yvonne and access to property was seamless. The grandkids have already decided it needs to be an annual tradition as Nanny has to kayak ( yes the property has kayaks which are fantastic fun) next time and get to sit on the upstairs balcony to see the lake views and sunsets!

The kayaks and proximity to the lake are a bonus. Yvonne is super responsive and helpful. We can't wait to return for a longer trip.

The location of Serendipity is amazing, directly across from the lake and Frothy Coffee cafe. The access to the lake was really easy for my elderly mum which was great. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the aircon and fans were welcome although the house is nicely shaded too. The owner Yvonne was lovely to deal with, very friendly. We would love to stay at Serendipity again and have already recommended it to a friend who wants to visit Smiths Lake after seeing my photos on facebook!

Everything was impressive from the location right on the lake to the spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen. The BBQ allowed us to happily eat in and the proximity to the lake allowed us to pop back for a coffee between swims. The kayaks were fun, easy to manage and transport from house to lake. There were so many places to visit a weekend was not long enough.

Serendipity was an exceptionally clean and well appointed home perfect for an extended family holiday. The owners went over and above to make sure anything you might possibly need was there from kitchen ware to kayaks to beach umbrellas and more. Right on the lake it was the perfect location for enjoying lots of lakeside activities such as swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding and fishing. We even bought edible fish! A perfect family holiday.
