The dining area has a large table - savor fresh Topsail Island seafood dishes while you gaze out at the gorgeous views. Bar stools provide additional seating.

The open kitchen allows the cook in your group to prepare meals while visiting with friends and family. The kitchen features white cabinets and soft-colored countertops. Appliances include a refrigerator with an ice maker, flattop stove, dishwasher, built-in microwave, blender, coffee maker, and toaster.

The fourth bedroom is behind the living room on the sound side and offers peaceful respite and an attached bathroom. You'll love waking up early and stepping through the living room to the top oceanside deck.

The house was nice and clean, but the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The house is 3 houses down from public beach access so that was nice but there’s no crosswalks so be careful. The use of the garage was nice also. There were some beach chairs and a beach buggy to use, along with some sand toys. The kitchen had a variety of pots and pans, cookie sheets, cutting boards, pitchers, wine opener, bowls, and sharp knives. Don’t forget to bring dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent. They had a few pods of dishwasher and laundry detergent to get you started! The mattresses were terrible. We could not get 2 of the TVs downstairs to work, just static on the screen, maybe it was us. The bathrooms came with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner to use, which I had no idea until I was there and read a very small sticker on the bathroom mirror. They had a few rolls of toilet paper which was nice. The view the ocean was wonderful.

The kitchen and living room are on the top floor, and I was a little worried that everyone would find the layout difficult to deal with. It turned out to be no trouble at all, and the upper floor is bright and spacious with decent views of the ocean. It made a nice gathering place that everyone enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils, but you may need to bring a lidded dish if you enjoy microwave cooking. There are two coffemakers, regular and pod, both of which we used frequently. Thanks to a previous reviewer for leaving the Mr Coffee. The decks are wide and deep with plenty of space for everyone to hang out, including the dogs. The upper deck has a gate for the stairs, but we used our baby gate for the lower deck to keep the dogs safe. We really enjoyed being able to access the lower deck directly from two of the bedrooms. I have an older dog who found the laminate floors in the bedrooms a little slippery, but some dollar store runners fixed that issue. The beach access is really close, but be careful...South Shore Dr can get really busy at times. There was plenty of space for parking in the drive plus a roomy garage. The washer and dryer are new and worked great. The spin cycle on the washer left clothing so dry we almost didn't need the dryer. It's an older home, so don't expect everything to be perfect. It could use a little paint and cosmetic work, but it was perfect for our family and crazy dogs.

This house was in a perfect location, the kitchen was well equipped and the house was clean. There were scuff marks in the paint several places but this did not affect cleanliness or our overall stay. This property is managed by a large company and I was hesitant after booking to find that out because I have seen several negative reviews about the company. However- there were zero issues and the entire experience was very positive, including checking in and out. I would definitely stay there again.

Access to the garage was a bit of a bummer, in that you’d have to go up a flight of stairs and then right back down (from inside the house) to open the ground-level door. The extra round trip flight of stairs was inconvenient, but not the end of the world. The dining table had some sort of permanent sticky film on it, which was gross and I’m not sure what that was about. Additionally, the top floor smelled like a fish fry our entire stay. Again, not the end of the world, but not great either. Finally, the thermostat situation was moderately frustrating. We didn’t seem to have any control over the temperature setting. The temperature would not stay set where we wanted it (the house was set cooler than necessary). I had looked the thermostat brand up and followed instructions, but just gave up after a couple days. Felt unnecessary to wear a sweatshirt in the house on an 80 degree day. The rental company responded to both complaints, but neither issue was truly resolved because we dropped it. Felt like they didn’t try super hard to address the thermostat issue. The garage access is more long term. On a positive note, the public beach access was almost directly across the road. The floor plan was nice and open upstairs. The vegetation on the back side of the house was a nice surprise, in that the home felt more hemmed-in.

Everything you need for beach rental, plenty of living space and appropriately placed bedrooms. Great ocean views can be seen at multiple levels. Very close to public beach access and outdoor shower for rinsing.

This was our 3rd time staying here and it’s great. Pet friendly and you can’t beat the location. However, it is now managed by Vacasa and we will book a different home until they get a new property management company. I will not ever rent a home managed by Vacasa again!!!

Walls are in desperate need of a good scrub or fresh paint. Overall house was nice, good location, unexpectedly good view of the sea.
