This cabin is large, close to town but very secluded, and has a gorgeous view of the lake. We would return here when coming to the area in the future :)
Great property, amazing views. It’s our 3rd stay here. Wish they had a way to watch TV. They could use a light over the kitchen sink, the towels were not good. Other than that we do love the rustic cabin, the location is perfect, the views worth the trip. Overall we love this property.
Enjoyed the scenery, hiking and canoing
This house is very comfortable for our family of 8 adults. The views of the lake and mountains are unbelievable.Truly a magical spot. The waterfront area needs a lot of improvement to make it safer and more usable. We managed ok as we don’t have young children in our party. Overall we had a great week and plan to come again.Thank you for sharing this special place!
Spectacular view of the high peaks in the Adirondacks. Stairway and dock to the lake is in disrepair.
The property was beautiful inside and out. Very nice place to stay for multiple people and many nights. The big window in the living room was a nice place for morning coffee as well as the porch, which had a great view. The only downfall, no lighting in the front once it was dark and there was no outside firepit. Other than those small items, it was a very nice place to stay. Will look to potentially come back in the future.
We really enjoyed being in this secluded spot. The house was in good shape- the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was fine…it could use more lights. The porch area was wonderful…a great place to listen to the loons and view the mountains. There was no internet and this was an issue for most of us. I personally didn’t mind being offline but if we needed to contact each other while we were out climbing a mountain, we were not able to. The wood stove was wonderful as it was cold at night. However, there were no instructions on using the stove…luckily we were a group who was familiar with how to use the stove. You might want to include instructions. The major issue was the dock…it needs a lot of work in the area by the lake…the dock needs to be repaired.
This is such a unique property, even for the ADK. Peace and quiet and we look forward to visiting again. The view is special. Two issues we had is that it is 2022. Even if you want to disconnect, you shouldn't be forced too! The neighbors have Wi-Fi, so assumed cable is run to the area. Having a smart tv or some sort of connection would be better. Speaking of investment, the dock area needs to be repaired and renovated...it felt dangerous down there. Lots of greatness to this spot, we will be back!
My family stayed here during my October wedding weekend and it was the most perfect place to stay. Just a quick 8 minute drive into town which was great because my wedding was at Hotel Saranac. The house is perfectly secluded with absolutely stunning views of Oseetah Lake and all the mountains. The photos don’t even do it justice. The home itself is so beautiful- the perfect Adirondack charm. The rooms are nice sizes and there’s plenty of space around the house for the kids to play. There’s no doubt we will be back again- already planning another family trip!
Second year we stayed at this location. The views of the lake and mountains are unbelievable. Very secluded location, which we enjoyed. Cabin is a has a great rustic feeling. Only small issue: access to the lake could be improved.
