The location and view was perfect! We loved the solitude and peacefulness of the cabin. We had everything we needed and the cabin was very clean. Would definitely stay again.

This very secluded rustic log cabin is truly amazing -appropriately decorated with a wonderful great room, has both screened and open air porches, fantastic views, a large flat grass area and the water is crystal clear. You won’t realize there are any neighbors until you swim out 20 yards. The biggest downside is the waterfront is a very steep 120 steps from the relatively level area around the cabin and is challenging to navigate. The property overlooks a relatively narrow boat channel and the afternoon noise from motorboats and surf skis can be a bit disrupting. But we would visit again.

Beautiful views! We enjoyed swimming, canoeing, visiting the nearby town and hiking! Lovely home with a screened-in porch for dining and a large great room where we watched Tour de France in the evenings and play games.

This is a beautiful home with many interesting details and lots of space to gather inside. I enjoyed looking at some old collectibles.. It is a very steep walk down to the water but there is a dock down there to fish off of or tie up a boat like we did. I would not recommend this place if you have real small children as there is a very steep cliff like drop off between the house and water. There is a nice front lawn though which was perfect for the set of corn hole we brought! The one thing that my family was super disappointed in was that outdoor fires were prohibited. When going on vacation to the Adirondacks camp fires are part of the joy. The owner was incredibly nice and very responsive though no matter what time of day I messaged her. We would definitely recommend this place especially if you have a large family and want spaces large enough to celebrate together and yet places to get away from each other and retreat..

We rented this place for an extended weekend with the family. The location of the property is fantastic and we had a lot of great times. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the conditions of the house and surrounding area. The house is outdated and we found a dead mouse in the leaving room. In addition the stairs to the lake were not safe and the area around the dock at the lake was hazardous. The canoe is pretty old and was leaking.

The cabin was very clean, not fancy but your family cabin. The scenery from the porch was beautiful and enjoyed watching the boats on the lake. Did enjoy the various birds in the morning light. Saw a bald eagle and enjoyed the Loons each morning and evening. The town of Saranac Lake was quaint and enjoyed talking to the locals- especially Ann at Ann's Crepe shop! Breakfast was delicious at Ann's!

Beautiful property and history abound. Loved the antiques and pictures. The great room and sunporch and screened in porch were all so wonderful. The location for canoers was perfect. Saranac Lake has so much to do and don’t forget to go to Donnellys Ice Cream daily for the best ice cream on Earth!

Tanya has been wonderful to deal with. This is our 2nd time at Sky Acres. The view from the porch is unmatched. The walk to the dock is long but the price you pay for the view. The cabin is very large with room to spread out and allow groups to go multiple things at once. We will be back next year again! BTW. The pike and bass fishing in Osetah and the waters around Sky Acres was amazing

This was our 3rd stay at Sky Acres. The house is very comfortable for our party of 7-8 adults. Plenty of room for everyone. The view is incomparable. Dock area is not easy to access and needs a lot of improvements to make it safer and usable.

Great home and property. Best water and mountain views I’ve ever seen in ADK. Only shortfall is the dock which needs to be replaced.

The view from the back porch is one of the nicest at any house we've stayed in. It's quiet and serene, which was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation. Just down the road, we found a great walking path that leads through a wonderful section of the woods. The log cabin was nice inside as well. Everything was neat and it had everything we were looking for. There was a strong musty smell when we arrived, but a few days of airing out the place pretty much took care of that. The screened-in back porch was our favorite place to hang out during the day when we weren't out hiking. Overall, it was a great week.
