Secluded & light-filled Pacific NW Waterfront home on SJI with views of Speiden Island

View of the water was fabulous and setting was very tranquil. The living room/kitchen/dining was open and a wonderful place to gather. The kitchen is well stocked, but need a few more wine glasses. The fireplace had a pretty minimal flame and we had difficulty operating the tv. Karen was very responsive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house.

The house is nice with a beautiful view. I rated it four stars because the drive to the house has huge potholes, the fireplace is worthless, and the amenities list a pool (that is not on the purport).

Charming home surrounded by tall, graceful trees. Nice view of the cove. Well decorated, nice kitchen. Comfortable furniture. Lots of deck chairs. Nice homes in the neighborhood.

The property is wonderful: great views of Neil Bay, quiet, lots of privacy, yet still close to Roche Harbor resort and other attractions (e.g., hiking trails). The house has a wonderful great room with floor to ceiling windows and wooden, vaulted ceilings. Kitchen is well equipped. This is our second visit to this property; we will be back!

The house was wonderful in every aspect and was perfect for six of us. I have stayed in many VRBOs, and this was definitely a 10 out of 10. Communication with our host was excellent, the amenities were as described, the location near Roche Harbor was convenient, the view beautiful! I hope to return one day!

Was very clean and comfortable. Appreciated that it wasn’t over-decorated! Lovely, quiet place. Make sure that your early risers stay upstairs because otherwise they will wake up those folks.

On the very positive side, the location is great, quiet and close to Roche Harbor which was fun to see. The view, while on the water, looks to a bald mountain which is not too lovely. The house is in good condition and well stocked in the kitchen. The porch and deck need some TLC (paint and repair) but the inside of the house is great. The manager is very nice and very communicative.

One of the best properties we've ever stayed in. The house was just as described, located in a fantastic spot. We spent our days on the deck or the lawn, admiring the water with Spieden Island in the distance. Meals were always at the outside table, next to the spotless BBQ.The kitchen was very well equipped with the essentials for cooking, a good set of pots, and scads of dishes and glasses. And, in a first for me, the knives were sharp!Highly recommended, but don't take our week! We'll be there again soon.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The property is very beautiful and well well-maintained. This was our first visit to San Juan Island and we had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Beautiful location for a family vacation! Home had a beautiful view, right on the water - lots of wildlife sightings. Great place to recharge, well appointed kitchen and easy access to Roche Harbor. Enjoyed exploring the many wonderful trails. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely spot for relaxation and beautiful views. The host was wonderful with excellent communication. The home was spacious, had a well stocked kitchen (which I loved) and has a spacious deck to really take in the fresh air and water views. We enjoyed walks to Roche Harbor and exploring the island and all it's beautiful attractions.

Beautiful property in a great location. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the otters in the water. We even saw whales from the dock one morning. The property was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Would definitely stay again!

The property was perfect for our family with plenty of space and nicely appointed. It was nice to have access to the dock for a beautiful water view. We’d love to come back some day.

Everything about the home was great, except the tv operation was a bit challenging, but we weren’t going to watch much tv anyway, so no big deal. The water view & setting was awesome. Our only issue was the condition of a portion of the road leading to the house. Watch out for the potholes, as that can be a definite challenge

The house was perfect for the 4 of is and is in an amazing location. We had a great time exploring the island. Karen was a great help to us.

We stayed at this beautiful home from April 3–6 and had an incredible time. The property is tucked away in a peaceful part of Roche Harbor, but still close enough to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The house was spotless, well-appointed, and had everything our family needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.From the cozy living spaces to the fully equipped kitchen, we felt right at home. The views were stunning, especially in the early mornings and at sunset. We loved walking on the dock while watching the seals greet us, it was like something out of a postcard.Roche Harbor is such a charming area, and this home made our trip to San Juan Island truly memorable. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly escape.

The kitchen had everything you need to cook, while taking in the beautiful San Juan scenery. This home is super close to Roche Harbor-about a five minute drive. It is a quick 15 mn drive into Friday Harbor. We enjoyed exploring both! We would definitelyRent this home again.

Beautiful location

3rd Thanksgiving in Friday Harbor and first stay at this property. The house was great! Plenty of room and very comfortable. The view was fantastic and the private dock was perfect. Very peaceful sitting out on the dock and enjoying our morning coffee.

The house is on a forested bluff overlooking a beautiful cove. It has amazing views of the sea, including Speiden Island. Below the house, after a short path, there is a well constructed dock, a perfect place to go swimming or launch a dinghy, kayak, or paddleboard. The house is very quiet and private yet just a short and pleasant drive away from Roche Harbor resort. The house is tastefully furnished, immaculate, and well-equipped. The property is very well managed. All communications with the manager were pleasant, efficient, and professional.

We loved having a private dock for kayaking. We were able to bring our sailboat to the dock and bouy except during a low tide.

Great spot for our family. Very private with great views of bay and island across channel. Minutes from Roche or Friday Harbors activities. Otters in bay were a bonus.

This beautiful home was far enough away, but just close enough to Roche Harbor & Friday Harbor!! Wonderful dock where we paddle boarded from daily!! Very serene & cozy :)

Absolutely beautiful home on bay. Incredible views and had a blast kayaking and crabbing from the dock. Home is open, spacious, airy, and most importantly felt like a home away from home! Will definitely return.

The place was clean and worked well for our family. The owner was very helpful with the reservations and making sure we made our ferry reservations on time. This was our first visit to Friday Harbor and we would stay at this place again.

What a place to call home for a week! We enjoyed every adventure and each quiet moment our family shared on San Juan Island. The home felt like a breath of fresh air the moment we walked in and never disappointed each time we sat out on the deck. We liked being away from the main harbor yet close enough to participate in every activity we desired. The San Juans are a special place and we feel lucky to have been able to enjoy our time on the islands. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! We hope to return again some day soon!

Enjoyed a long weekend at this beautiful property. Beautiful views and waterfront access. Feels secluded, yet quick access to Roche Harbor and an easy drive to Friday Harbor. Well-appointed kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Communication with property manager/owner was great. Would definitely return!

We wanting visit again

We loved this house. We saw otter swimming one morning and it was so fun watching them. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Conveniently located. We ate at Roche harbor a lot and got some things from their store. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but there seemed to be enough to do the job. Communication was great.

Quiet spot with beautiful views and majestic trees. Nice cool get a way from the Texas heat.
