You may or may not love this home. On the plus side is its view, spaciousness and comfort. On the down side is you may have the power go off on you if you are there during winter storms. We had half of one day and all of another without power and Vacasa would not provide any compensation for this condition. Nor would our contact person give me the names or contact information for a manager, so no chance of even discussing it with them. Kind of odd for a service oriented company. There are 2 bright flashlights in the home, but not enough when the power is out at night, so bring your own lights and lots and lots of firewood and be prepared for no cell or internet connection. We didn't need beach access or to open the large folding glass doors when we were there but I might have wanted that if I was there in the summer time, so another thing to be aware of. The listing says there are kids games and puzzles at the home but I found those very minimal, so you should plan on bringing you own. The listing provided very little information about what was in the kitchen, so I brought my own knives (most rentals have terrible knives anyway) and a few strategic cooking pots. However, the house was pretty well equipped in that category and we could have skipped bringing the pots. The beds were comfortable and we slept well.
We enjoyed our stay at this house very much. It was well stocked with dishes, cooking supplies, and towels. We loved the set up of the home and the living area was spacious. We would certainly like to rent the home again. Our complaint was the 10 digit code that did not work more than it did work! There are way too many numbers to make it user friendly!
Loved the house, view, and Justin B. was a lifesaver!
Spacious, private, immaculate, beautifully designed house with fabulous forest privacy in every direction! Entire front of the house is floor to ceiling glass panels opening to a huge deck. A short walk down narrow forest lanes with unique houses and properties leads to wooden stairs down to Arch Cove. A friendly neighbor advised going down onto the beach only at low tide. Standing at the top of the sturdy wooden steps at high tide made his advice crystal clear. Incredible!
We loved being surrounded by a forest of Douga fir trees, plus the view of the ocean from the wall of windows in the living room!
Great house, location, deck, quiet area.
Beautiful large house, super easy to walk to beach. Basement was musty and we couldn’t sleep there. Little touches, like coffee machine neglected but overall a great stay and would do again
The home was beautiful with excellent lighting and communal space to eat and play games. My only concerns were that the Wi-Fi information listed at the house was wrong and since there is no cell service it was a struggle to get ahold of the property managers to get the correct information. There was also no information about the area, the house, or things to do on site ( usually there is a binder with details). The listing also shows an outside fire pit and there isn’t one. We had a lovely time… but these details were challenging.
Everything was exactly as pictured and as described. We had a wonderful time and it was a great amount of space with kiddos. The views were beautiful and the fireplace was perfect for chilly nights. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make cooking easier. We are already planning on when we want to go back again! We spend every thanksgiving on the coast and this was the first place we said we would totally stay again for holiday family getaway.
House is nice very roomy, clean and ready to go. We cooked our meals, and played on the beach. Access to beach is a short walk away. Would have liked to have some local tv for in the evenings or early morning coffee and news.
The furniture is a bit outdated but we didn't care. A lot of burnt out light bulbs or switches that weren't working. Wifi works but we couldn't make any calls but also didn't bother us. Definitely need more patio seats. There is no longer a fire pit as advertised. Stunning views!!! We eloped on Short Sand Beach while staying here and for our purposes it was perfect ?
We were all impressed with the beauty of the property as well as the location. We could walk to the beach which was spectacular. It was also a short drive to many other locations we wanted to experience (Short Beach, Haystack/Cannon Beach). We all loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.
Roomy and beautiful view
We loved our second stay here more than the first--from the clean home to the big wrap-around deck facing the forest and ocean, this home is a delight in every way. Thank you! We will be back.
Great view, quiet location.
Loved the house. It was clean and perfect for the weekend. Loved driving through the forest and how secluded it was. We could still see the ocean, but were surrounded by trees. I would definitely book this place again!
