Secluded Home Offers Water Access, Stunning Harbor and Island Views

A beautiful piece of paradise nestled in the pines of Maine overlooking the Western Bay. 20 minutes to so many activities in and out of Acadia National Park that it made our week long vacation a joy to remember. Thank you to our hosts!

This was our second stay at The Treehouse, and it was everything we remembered from 2.5 years ago and more. From the atmosphere and serenity of its location to the comfort level in the house, this house checks all the boxes for a fine vacation. The location of the house is ideal, closer than other places we’ve stayed on the quiet side of MDI. The condition of the house is quite clean and fresh, and the water pressure is very good. Whenever there was a need for something, we could usually find it in a closet or in drawers. The kitchen is not only well stocked/equipped, but has lovely dish and drink ware that add to the charm and fun. Access to the shoreline provides yet another avenue for recreation or reflection. And, the host brought hanging baskets of flowers for the deck during our stay, adding even more charm to the view. All in all, I would highly recommend.

Lovely setting with good access to all parts of the island and mainland. Sunset and wildlife watching from the dock was a special treat. The property is a little dated, but very cozy. We enjoyed it & would stay again.

This property is so peaceful & private, in such a beautiful wooded setting - with water access!! The house & bungalow are comfortable, tastefully decorated, & had all the amenities we needed & more. Loved the large windows & the deck! we also loved walking down to the private dock & even swam a bit. Great proximity to Bar Harbor & Acadia. Can’t wait to return-

Great location, veiw blocked by trees, but still love the privacy and short walk to dock to see the sunset and wild life. Clean and well stocked. If you have kayaks, bring them, i don't but wish i did as would been great to explore the bay by the dock. Would love to stay again.

Beautiful location, comfortable and unique accommodations! We loved the Treehouse and the suite connected by the elevated deck. Beautiful views and nicely private, even with guests at the waterfront properties. Would definitely recommend!

What a great little spot! The house(s) were clean and comfortable. It’s really cool that one of the bedrooms/bathrooms is a separate building. This would be a great rental for a pair of couples. The scenery was gorgeous. With just a quick walk down the driveway you are right on the coast. It’s about a 20 minute drive into downtown Bar Harbor and even less time to Acadia. If we ever head back to Bar Harbor we will definitely be staying here again.

We had an amazing time here and were thoroughly impressed by the property! It has all the accommodations you could want, and offers beautiful views along with convenient access to everything on Mt. Desert Island, including Acadia National Park. Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or a week-long extended stay, this beautiful property will provide you with everything you could ask for!

Susan was very responsive. She went out of her way to accommodate us! My only wish was to see more of the water, if they could trim some of the trees, it would be perfect!

Such a cozy place. Nettled in a woodland setting. Views of water. Just what we were looking for. I forgot to write in the guestbook, I enjoyed all the stories from previous guest.
