Seaside SK Getaway: Steps to Matunuck Beach!

Nice stay, host was helpful- checked in prior to stay to ensure we would be all set. Cozy cottage, enjoyed our time there!

Unfortunately our stay was less than perfect. Within hours of being at the home our daughter’s feet were filthy. The floors had not been cleaned or mopped before we arrived. For a check in at 4pm you would expect the home to be spotless. Host did come and mop the floors when we went out one day and was apologetic but it should have not been needed if it was properly cleaned. Bedroom dresser drawers full of hair and exposed insulation above the kitchen sink were not what we would expect to find in a highly rated rental. Listing states that stairs are required to access the property but it was a flight of over a dozen that did not lend accessibility to some guests. We have small children (3 year old and 4 month old) and the stairs inside were extremely dangerous to get to and from the bedrooms. Internet router stopped working while we were staying there and a “Verizon” tech was sent to the property. The technician did not arrive in a company vehicle or provide credentials and was wearing beach attire. While we appreciated the turnaround time to fix the internet, it felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Air conditioner units as well as the fridge water/ice machine are full of what appears to be mold and we had to buy bottled water for the week. Lots of extension chords and questionable electric around the house including hanging chords in bedrooms. We believe that the owner/host does have the best intentions. When we did need to reach out he did respond in a timely manner.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend getaway with family, and this property exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal—just a short, scenic walk to Matunuck’s beautiful beaches and close to several excellent dining options.The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We especially appreciated the ample parking and peaceful setting. The home had many amenties including 2 Kayaks that we did use.Our host was fantastic—gracious, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to any questions. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The house was nice! Very close to the ocean, peaceful neighborhood. I found the staircase that leads to the bedrooms very challenging. It made it a little difficult bringing luggage up and down. There is no bathroom upstairs so the stairs made that a little risky. The host was very nice, I just wish I new he was staying on the property when we stayed; We rented an AB&B for privacy opposed to a hotel so that was a little odd. Overall we had a great time.

Our stay in this adorable home was wonderful! The house is cozy, rustic, very clean, decorated with lovely beach decor. The host was very responsive and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed. Home close to beach and good restaurants! We will definitely return !

Clean, comfortable and great location. One of the best stays due to owners extra thoughtful amenities.

We met up with a fellow empty nest couple for a getaway. Property was beautiful, easy walk to Matunuck beaches. Excellent food nearby. Parking excellent, easy to contact the very gracious property host. Comfortable beds, very clean. We did bring our own fan because the upstairs bedroom got warm, but would absolutely stay again!

Great location and property. Will def stay there again!!

We enjoyed our stay for a variety of reasons. The upstairs bedrooms we a bit smaller than expected but the place has everything we needed. It was clean, a bit rustic but everything worked perfectly. Super close to the beach!
