I did not feel comfortable staying in this rental and immediately booked a hotel due to the amount of alive and dead bugs that were visible within minutes of walking in.

We originally booked unit A which was a little bigger, however, the property managers allowed us to reschedule our trip (due to a hurricane). So I was more than happy to switch units because they were so helpful in rescheduling our trip. Although I am super appreciative of how helpful the property managers were, I do want to give an honest review. First, the location is perfect, not beach front, but within a 1 minute walk to a public beach access. Second, they allowed pets, which is always appreciated to us who travel with our doggies. Third, Here's where I have some criticism, I do feel the entire unit could use some work, there was vinyl missing outside, the floor had a few soft spots that were a bit concerning, very few outlets available for use, and the housekeeper provided detergent for a dish washer even though there wasn't a dishwasher, but no dish soap for hand washing dishes. I felt that furniture could've been rearranged to utilize the space a bit better. Overall our stay was pleasant, but it is a tad bit overpriced for the space. Some suggestions I have: a rug needs to be put in the bathroom in front of the shower, Toiletries (like toilet paper) dish towels, and towels & wash cloths should be supplied a bit more. One roll of cheap toilet paper for 4 adults for 3+ days is a stretch. Again, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again, my criticism is only meant to help them better this place for future guests!

Communication with property management was good. Surprised there wasn't at least hand soap or dish soap provided. In fact, a packet of dishwasher powder was left, but the unit doesn't have a dishwasher. A lot of flies poured in as we unloaded due to trash and additional funky, unknown smell

I have stayed in many VRBOs and this is the first time I have had an issue. We didn’t even stay an hour because it was not what we expected. The floor was warped and we could feel the rotting wood under the lament. There was a metal piece sticking out of an electrical socket. The fan in one of the bedrooms was not secure and looked like it was going to fall. The shower was dirty and the shower curtain had mold on it. The AC was not cooling properly. But the worst part was the lack of customer service, we called Carolina beach realty and the emergency operator was super nice but really couldn’t do anything to help. They had the on call agent reach out to me who was rude from the beginning and it took me many asks via text for them to give me a call. They never responded to my request for a refund and I had to go through VRBO and eventually my bank to get a refund. Horrible experience! My partner had an interview the next day and he didn’t sleep well because of all the chaos.
