Stayed Sep 29, 2025All the current and updated amenities available while retaining the historic charm of the house. We were ideally located for walking into town, over to the Shining Sea Bikeway and to the beach, as well as to the bus to the ferry in Woods Hole to get to Martha’s Vineyard. Hosts were responsive to questions and a concern one guest had that arose. They even messaged me at one point about slow internet that they were already taking care of. The house was clean upon arrival. We found an abundance of dishes, pots and pans, and needed items in the kitchen for the meals we cooked together for a group of 14. We did not make use of the outdoor area, but it was beautiful and well kept. The front hedge along the sidewalk provided nice privacy from the road. Overall, we found nothing lacking at the Captain’s Estate and enjoyed our visit to the area.
